Possible Glitch? Not showing all listings

I found something strange, not sure if this is a new glitch.  For some search terms, I can't view all the listings.  For an example, when I search for "kenwood km x1" it says 4 results but shows only 1 listing. If I change the sort method, it shows different listings.  Mobile App search results correctly show all 4 results.  What could be causing this issue? I don't have any filters assigned. I've tried on 3 different browsers, and 2 different eBay accounts. Same result.  It does the same thing to other long tail search terms as well.  Some general terms do show a correct number of items.

Possible Glitch? Not showing all listings

Same thing here. I was searching for something and it said 9 of them but only showed 1.  So  I tried searching for some of my items and couldn't find them. I also had trouble printing a label tonight. Looks like some problems going on. Haven't sold in a few days.

Possible Glitch? Not showing all listings

I've noticed this sort of issue with searches I've made as well.  With your example I noticed "all listings" total 4 - when you toggle between "auction" and "buy it now"  you will see 2 results for each of those totalling the 4 however when you toggle between the two you actually see just 1 each.  I think it's safe to assume this is due to another glitch.  Everything is so messed up right now with so many glitches since they moved everything in April/May.   It's no wonder buyers aren't able to find us anymore.  Good luck

This is a serious glitch then.  Buyers simply can't find what they want.

No they can't and it's starting to hurt us all.  It started in April and has gone downhill since.   I'm fixing another glitch I should post about actually.   I run promotions and last week I had deleted one promotion I had running (buy 4 get free shipping) so that I could create a new one (buy 3 get free shipping) well the new one was not showing up so I removed that one too.  I was left with no promotions, I deleted them all yet my original promo is showing up.  Now I am having to update all my listing descriptions to match the promo before a buyer calls me out and blames me for false advertising.  This is so frustrating and so time consuming trying to keep up with all these glitches.... SIGH

try running the search but instead of using ebay's default "best match" choose one of the other,, like,, newly listed..     i bet ebay filters out any matches that aren't found in the category ebay thinks is correct..! ugg

Possible Glitch? Not showing all listings

Ebay's CEO announced  that last February that the platform is going to be product-based, and something like only the top four items will show initially. What everyone is experiencing here sounds like a version of this proposed change. I haven't seen the new product-based pages myself, but am wondering if this is possibly a test of some kind rather than a glitch? Product-based shopping, like Amazon uses, will replace the current listings-based shopping experience this year for eBay, so Devin Wenig says. I found these articles below discussing this. The ecommercebytes link is a shorter article, for those of you wanting to skim. The heading "structured data" is where you will find the topic at hand in the first article link.

I am searching for a transcript of the actual speech rather than rely on media outlet reports but i haven't found it yet. Will post when i do.

Possible Glitch? Not showing all listings

There are all kinds of search issues.  Heck if I try to search for Mr Burberry in my own listings, it returns zero.  I do have a listing that is active for Mr Burberry cologne, but I can't get it to return on a search of my listings.  I can only see it if I go to my seller hub and then my active listings.

A couple months ago it was Euphoria for men that I could not get to come up in a search return on my listings.  It is now coming up, but for a couple months it did not except through the Seller Hub and then active listing.

Strange stuff.

Anyone have a solution? Or called Ebay to see what they're saying about it?

This can't be intentional...

This is the first thing that came to mind for me.  I remembered them saying it would be rolled out.  Trying to search for clothing and getting one item shown when there are 100's.  Not good at all.

This is ridiculous. Where are all the ebay cheerleaders that insist our listings aren`t being hidden? Here is more proof of it SMH.

I, too, have noticed this in search results and think you are likely correct.  This is not a glitch but another test based on the stated goal of product based searchs.

I notice that the blues aren't weighing in on this topic yet even though there are a few discussions going on. Perhaps a sign it's a test?

As a buyer this search aggravates me as it's assuming Ebay knows better than I do, what I want, so it is acting as my mother and limiting my freedom to chose for myself how to spend my money.  Yes, I know Ebay already limits that in some searches with thousands of results but this is severe and needless.  My millennial grandchildren will hate this in that they are all about freedom to choose and demanding to be treated as adults.  This morning my grandson said he'll exercise his right to shop somewhere that respects his right to be adult enough to make his own decisions as to what to look at and spend his money on.  He was particularly irate that he couldn't go back a third time and click an item he wanted and compare with another item.  He was going back and forth pro and con before he made his choice.  Eventually ebay decided the item wasn't what he wanted so removed the item from the results.  He purchased neither, on Ebay that is, while grumbling, (swearing) about not needing to live in a nanny state with another mother.  He and his $4000 went elsewhere. Pretty sure he's done here.

The Wenig future of Ebay it seems will not be bright for many sellers, clothing, collectibles, etc if this search type is a test.  I hope youall have a plan B.

This is the move to the product page based search. So they threw everything just about into it. But AS USUAL....they did no testing!

So now there is only ONE of each item. The rest can't even be seen.

Ebay in their stupidity, has once again rolled out live BAD CODE.

It's just so ebay. You would think they would learn, but NOOOOO

Thanks a lot. Sales are going to tank for everybody until (maybe until is too optimistic and I should say IF) they ever get this fixed.

Roll back the STINKIN' CODE until you get it right. STUPIDITY TO RUN CODE LIVE WITHOUT PROPER TESTING. And it's status quo par for the course for ebay.
