item specifics disappearing

When I finish editing/revising listings I find some item specifics have disappeared! Important ones which buyers search for.  I then edit fully again, save, and now different specifics have gone!  What's happening?

Having the same problem. Random removal of different customs item specifics after save of scheduled listing for me.  After each save, a different specific disappears.  What category are you in?  Mine are vintage electronics.

 

ALSO after updating any scheduled listing - the system gives a hard error that the listing can NOT be found.  Have to try 4 of 5 times before it can be found.  Perhaps some sort of system re-org / category specifics rollout is underway and damaging listing that are being worked on while that happens?

 

Anybody that created a listing in the last few days with custom item specifics - better go check - I bet a lot of them are GONE GONE GONE

It's driving me crazy!!!! It looks like ebay knows about it though, according to Brian's response. We shall see if they address it.

Their bulk editing tool has been doing this for around 2 years when editing items in bulk. You go to submit changes and 1 or 2 items will not go through because of errors. Their tools says to fix the errors but none are ever shown. However I have noticed when this happens the specifics are gone. You fill them out and it still says fix the errors. After you click submit 2 or 3 times it finally lets them go through. 

 

Even though they can not figure out why this happens a simple fix would be to have the tool check the listings for errors 1st. Then give you the option to fix before you click submit so that all listings get updated at the same time. The worst thing is if you are relisting items in bulk when this happens it creates duplicate listings.
