I am a Canadian that lists on ebay.com and has done so since 1997. I am beyond frustrated right now. Since Sunday I have been trying to list items, like I always have done, from the List Your Item page (My OWN Template). I ship and want to continue shipping to International Destinations. The template that I have always used had the FLAT RATE: Same Cost Regardless of Buyer Location and I ticked off WORLDWIDE. It was always left to the buyer to get in touch with me to find out how much shipping was to their country. Even Canadians!! Somehow the system has begun to throw out my International Rates for Shipping and even after I have gotten rid of the old Template and made a New One I still can't get things to stick. Just when I think everything is okay and I'm ready to add the listing to my Drafts while I take pictures, I find that Using FLAT RATE: Same Cost Regardless of Buyer Location will no longer work when I add that I ship WORLDWIDE. Within three seconds it has reverted back to ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS and it says NONE. I want to be able to sell Worldwide and leave it to the customer to get in touch when they need a quote for shipping.
I sell unique items. By that I mean I sell Antiques and Collectibles and the price to ship for a Brass Bell is much less than it is to ship a Ming Vase. So I can't use Rate Tables because they assign the SAME price for shipping. So the Brass Bell which was normally shipping for $10 now becomes $22 because I changed the Rate Table for the Ming Vase which ships for $22. Adding insult to injury and causing a whole lot of trouble for me the Rate Table has CHANGED the International Shipping on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY EXISTING LISTINGS to $22.
Unique items sellers such as myself are probably experiencing the same thing and actually given up and have chosen to just ship to the USA. Sad that after 26 years of selling on eBay I can no longer sell to people in my own country. Trying to navigate the new and exciting updates for Sellers that eBay invents is like being 10 years old and your Teacher hands you a Calculus textbook and tells you to get busy doing your Mathematics Homework!! There are things that are not working here people, EBAY, whoever!! Getting help is nearly impossible. I guess I'll just be selling to American Customers. eBay you have changed something that did not need to be changed. If I am missing something here, I will gladly listen to any and all responses. But I need an answer and eBay Tech Support should be able to give me one.
