I purchased an irobot roomba < 2 years ago. It was refurnished, sold directly by irobot, and included eBay's / Squaretrades 2 year warranty.
When i purchased the robot, I initiated a return/cancellation. However, I cancelled the return and the item shipped like normal. EBay shows the return was not fulfilled, the seller "irobot" confirmed that the item was never returned. All this is normal as I decided to keep the item.
Fast forward to about a year later and I am having issues with the robot. I went to irobot and they troubleshooted and offered to perform repair for $$$. They said that my warranty is with Squaretrade. I contact Squaretrade and they said that i cancelled the warranty when i initiated the return. I told them that i never finished the return. They said I have to contact eBay irobot about the warranty. I contacted irobot on ebay who also told me to reach out to Squaretrade. I told both of them that they're pointing at eachother, who then agreed that i should contact eBay directly about why the warranty was cancelled.
Contacting eBay is literally impossible and this is the only place where i might have a chance for some resolution. Ultimately i need to figure out how to get the warrantied honored because i paid for it, and am being told i do not have one. Should I do a charge back? I wouldn't have purchased the robot without the warranty and it was pulled from under me. At a loss.
