eBay listings are displaying incorrect resolution for first image of ux-image-carousel-item

In the past couple days, eBay listings started displaying a low-resolution version of the initial image in the ux-image-carousel-item (the series of images that come up when you click the item thumbnail in an auction). 

• This is only happening for the first image in the carousel, data-idx="0".  All other images, data-idx="1" and above, are the proper resolution.
• Cause: src is pointing to 's-l500.jpg' when it should be pointing to 's-l1600.jpg'

Having the same issue. Reported it to Ebay via a chat session. Took 15 minutes before the tech. on the other end of the line could even understand the issue. Ugh.

Ebay:  PLEASE ADD THIS to your list of technical issues.  This problem is driving me crazy.  When you click on the first image in a listing, it is tiny.  The zoom feature works fine when simply hovering the mouse over it, when you click on it to pull it up full-screen, it is tiny.  Please fix this!

This is a  significant problem for both buyers and sellers!  PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ASAP!  The primary image provided (sometimes the ONLY useful image to judge a product or item by) cannot be displayed THIS SMALL and still allow buyers to make a reasonable decisions on bidding or purchaseing.  This is NOT a user problem, it is an EBAY system problem, it is happening across the platform with all sellers and on all browsers.  This has been unaddressed for days, and the sellers are VERY likely going to be taking a hit on reduced biding until this serious issue is addressed!

Thank you for such a clear synopsis of the irritating problem. Ridiculous it is taking so long to fix. Can’t see any item clearly enough to buy and certainly inhibits sales.

I've noticed the same thing. For the first image it's showing 500x500 image instead of the 1600x1600 image.

The image for the 1600x1600 is still being uploaded and rendered, just not displayed for the first image even if you revise the listing to one of the other images. It's most likely an issue with ebay's code regarding the display size image link for the first image.

It looks like the issue was finally fixed this morning! 

All images in the carousel of the items I'm currently looking at, including the first, are hi-res.
