defective item received

Hello,
just bought an 8.1" tablet and it does not work,
i did told the seller and I think he is Good enough to offer a solution,
he asked me to send him a video of the problem and i did sent him a short video with the description that at 1.11min to 1.13min there flash for a moment as if to charge, but then nothing happened.

did i do wrong for that? i just read that it is not required to send a video to a seller.
Thanks for this opportunity to share a problem and to hear your advice.

Nothing to worry about, eBay is a great platform, and you are protected as a buyer. My only advice would be to only communicate with seller through ebay messaging, rather than email, so that there is a record. So if you didn't send the video link through ebay messaging, you might consider re-sending it through there.

You aren't technically required to show the seller proof of the problem, all you have to do is open a "doesn't work" return and send it back with the label that ebay provides. But it does not hurt you to demonstrate good faith by providing additional information to the seller and/or ebay.  Speaking as a seller, I definitely appreciate when a buyer contacts me about a problem before just diving for the return/refund or negative feedback buttons. Many problems can be resolved with communication.

Sorry to hear the item didn't work, it could be for any number of reasons- maybe it got dropped or damaged in shipping, maybe the seller didn't realize there was a problem before listing it. But ultimately that's not your problem and you have nothing to worry about.

I agree with @onnius here. Ebay has your back.

Also communicating with the seller is important. I would see if you could get an exchange (if applicable) or return. Now if they do not want to accept the item, open a return reason with "Item Not As Described" and the seller will have to give you a return. (Only do that if the seller is unwilling to refund or resolve the issue)

Thanks for the kind advice.
I just think that the seller is making sure that he is not scammed, so he did required a video for the proof.

Yes it was sent through email to the seller, 'cause as you said, video files were not allowed through Ebay. However i did replied the seller through Ebay mail, describing part of the email message, that at 1.11minute to 1.13minute there was a Flash of info, a Charge sign, but then it vanished, and nothing follows after..

i will wait for his response about the problem.

Thank you very much for your kind attention...

Yes, it is entirely up to you as to what you will do.  But do not allow the 30 day deadline to elapse.

You have just 30 days to open an item not as described case with eBay.

You have already jumped through hoops to resolve the problem.  I don't understand why you want to drag this out longer.
