Is anyone else having problems making a best offer on an item? Every time I try to make an offer on an item an error pops up, I spoke to CS and they told me that they are aware of the problem but I see that some users are able to make offers so I was just wondering if I am the only one that has problems making offers?

What does the error say?

There was another recent thread about possible limits to making offers as a buyer, but I do not know the exact source of the information about those limits:

Yes, I can confirm. Happening to us too. CS says they are working on it but we have been broke for 72 hours. There are rumors that there is now a 30 max outstanding offers across site at any given time. If that is the case, it is unacceptable. We need this fixed now

The error says I have reach my limits for bidding and buying but I am able to bid and use the buy it now featured, I also spoke with CS and they said I have no limits on my account but I am still unable to make offers, now that was happening last night as well but for some reason it was just one seller but I was able to sent offers to other sellers, now this morning I had no problems making offers at all but from around 6:00pm eastern time I can’t able to sent any offers at all

Im also having the exact same problem CS tells me different things none of them work, also technical issues that will be solved in 24 hours 48 hours even 20 minutes. But still nothing. It’s been over 48 hours for me and I still get this bug, glad I’m not the only one.

One thing I've noticed, My Best offers have Dried Up, only thing I can figure is eBay's New policy of asking a buyer for payment info before a Deal has been Struck, and really I don't blame buyers, I won't make offers either because of it, so I guess we're all in a Stand-off, I did take action, I removed Best Offer from my listings, and I started Watching stuff, with the hope that the Sellers would send offers, I send offers with the option to counter offer for the buyer, appears to be the only way around eBay's Stupidity.

As a seller you can uncheck the requirement for a payment method for auctions or offers in your Buyer Requirements so that your potential buyers do not need to provide a payment method to make an offer. Then you can add the Best Offer option back to your listings.
