My account was moved to managed payments, it was running smoothly for more than 1 year.

I was asked to upload documents to verify myself and my bank which I did immediately, I was told that payments would be held while this was verified which should take a few days!!

Now, more than 20 days have passed and i am still restricted. Many phone calls to eBay and no agend ever helped me. They keep more than 1200$. They keep my money for no reason anymore, as i uploaded what they wanted.

What the message in my payments section says:

Your payouts are currently on hold because your eBay account is restricted. Please go to Messages in My eBay for information about your account status.

and there is nothing in messages

Live chat is not available but I am expected to keep shipping my products

What should i do now? File a complaint on BBB maybe?

Any help please?

well with your listings put them on vacation mode... Stops any more money you cant get...

When talking or contacting eBay ask for a payment specialist: normal CS reps can do nothing about such.

You may also want to open a separate checking account and place that on file for MP...

Also that info on said account must match your ebay info exactly letter for letter and low or upper case...

You might try sending a private message to the eBay team via the Ebay for Business Facebook page. Be sure to use the send a message link vs just posting something on the board. after you have exhausted all attempts to get eBay to help straighten this out. contact your state attorney and stick to the facts with them.

Dealing with the same thing right now. They had no problem sending me my money for months and then out of the blue i need to verify my id and bank account. I'm probably just going remove all my listing since I make way more sales outside of ebay and the fees here are outrageous.

I would definitely file a bbb complaint and like was said above contact your state AG. Lucky for me they only have about 20 dollars of mine but if they had 1200 i'd be up there butt 50 times a day. Ebay used to be an awesome platform to sell but sadly like alot of sites they are well past their prime. If I were you I'd look into different ways of selling your goods.

I should also mention that i've been selling on here since 2004 so its not like I just showed up to the party. I've had a long track record of selling here so it boggles my mind that I would need to verify my info.

Have you made any progress? I'm going through the same thing. My Payments have been on hold for over 2 weeks. Called and was told the automated system did not work and my details would have to be reviewed manually. That was supposed to take 4-5 business days. Opened a chat with eBay yesterday, complete waste of time.

I've been selling on eBay for 20+ years. Top Rated Seller for the better part of a decade. Never had an issue, now this nonsense.

Contacting the BBB is a complete waste of time. I'm thinking the only way to recoup these funds is to sue eBay in small claims court.

I just spoke to Diageo from eBay. He assured me that a transfer to my bank account is being initiated and to expect it in a few days. I'm not holding my breath.

I still have "Your payouts are currently on hold because your eBay account is restricted" on my payments tab.

This is insane. Stories of long time sellers being completely shut out of their eBay accounts are far too numerous on these forums. I really can't fathom why eBay is doing this to us. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales and tens of thousands of dollars in eBay fees over the years and eBay just decides one day to give me the middle finger?!

They make it difficult to fix because they make money on your money. PayPal was known for the same thing until they were sued for it. eBay makes millions on peoples funds sitting in their pocket

Very true! The BBB is a complaint department. Consumer Affairs has teeth and can fine, and more. This is so outrageous!

I'm on day 4 and was hoping this journey was nearing an end, and although I submitted all documentation requested and said documentation matches what it needs to match, my confidence in a swift resolution has waned since reading what other's have experienced.

I think I'm going to resubmit the documentation they requested, call them, ask for a payment specialist and see how it goes. If they tell me 24-48hrs again (told me that on Tuesday), I'm going to cancel all my orders & refund all my buyers just so these sacks of sh-t have to relinquish their precious fees.

Would that work? It would be vengeance on a rather small scale, yet vengeance nevertheless....

Talked to an Irish eBay rep this morning. He told me 2-3 weeks is not unusual for them to verify submitted documents. Supposedly they will message us with the results one way or the other, either verifying the info or telling us what the issue is.

I ended all my listings. Sure as heck am not shipping anything else until this gets resolved.

Did you get this resolved?

We are going through the same problem, we are on week 3 now and been advised yesterday it's going to be another 7 - 10 days to be reviewed. We can still send out but payments are on hold due to the verification process.

We moved over to MP months ago no problems. No complaints, been going quite well to be honest until now.

We are told different timescales by every different agent. Anywhere from this will be resolved in 24 hours to now another 7 - 10 days.

Worried now obviously as we can't find to many posts with the same issues that have been resolved.
