Over the past month or so, the promotions manager has been extremely problematic. It is taking forever for sale events to process... sometimes as long as 12+ hours. These are all markdown events that were told to "start now". In addition, there is an extreme delay when editing sales for adding or removing items. This really needs to be fixed immediately. If we have to deal with these delays during the peak of the holiday season, it is going to kill sales. There was no problem with this system over the past year at least.

@csacom - I brought this up in one of the weekly chats over a month ago and also started a follow up thread on it. Unfortunately, so far there has been no resolution and no updates from eBay on the issue.

This **bleep** is utterly unacceptable! I had like 50+ promotions scheduled to end at 3 AM PST today. As of 11:19 PST, they are still showing as PROCESSING!!

I created a sale earlier this morning and it is still processing. 7 hours and counting! I selected the sale to begin immediately. I have not had a sale all day because of this. Way to go ebay. Tired of things not working on your site!

What a nightmare. The promotions manager issues have messed up my entire last month. First they wouldn't start for many hours resulting in no sales during one of the busiest days of the year. I finally updated the pricing to the sale amount only to have the sales finally kick in (you can't delete them while processing) and every discount basically doubled...Why now?? How crazy for sellers to deal with this when we are charged so much for the service! The sales that were supposed to end last night are STILL running and people are still buying. What is the point? eBay should refund from the final value fees the monies lost by sellers because of their unresolved issue.

Listing items is running slow and at times freezing. I re did my promoted listings and that had issues as well. After they ended which was slow I could not delete more than 3 or 4 at a time. Then creating new campaigns it froze several times.

All signs are that they are running updates to fix things right after the Holliday sales should have started. Errors and glitches from not testing their work the Holliday gift that keeps on giving.

10:33 PM and I am STILL waiting for promotions to end. Some have, but more than have have not yet. This is going to go longer than 24 hours, I can see it now. What a joke! Every time this happens, I spend more time getting setup on other marketplaces.

@csacom - did it end up going longer than 24 hours? If so, please report it here and tag one of the eBay staff on the message boards. I've been trying to get as many reports to them as possible to try to get something done about this.

90% are ended, but still waiting for 5 more, as of 6:36 PM EST... below is an example. I have no idea how to tag a staff member.

According to the Weekly Chat of 4 Dec., 24 hours is the new norm for markdown manager to go into or out of effect. This is straight from an ebay employee.

I am in the process or putting up 50+ new promotions. So far they have all been through processing in less than 15 minutes.

Yeah, a few of us have been having problems for months now, but because the delays don't reach the 24 hour mark, we are told that it is normal expected operations for it to take up to 24 hours and that it is not a technical issue to report.

That's the reason I've been keeping an eye out for anyone who posts here in the community with a delay that is longer than 24 hours. At this point, I think the only hope we have is that maybe if they fix whatever is causing the over 24 hour delays, it might improve things for those of us that are also experiencing less than 24 hour delays too. So I'm trying to get as many longer delays reported as possible in hopes that will move things along.
