Variation listings Main photo does not show up for buyers when searching - BIG ISSUE!

This is happening across all categories that I checked a random item from the variation listing is showing as the Main Photo this is very confusing for Buyers and has effected our sales click rate etc.. I am sure this is an issue for any store offering Variation Listings. However if the item is Sponsored the Main Photo does show properly under the Sponsored tagged listing when filtering by Ending Soonest or Price + Shipping Lowest first but best match even the Sponsored tagged Listing does not show the Main Photo. The non Sponsored tag version of the listing does not show the main photo under any circumstance.

The workaround I used was to delete all the variation photos

by clicking on default photos to remove them for every variation listing.

Now all the main photos show in my store, because it is the only one.

When the glitch is fixed, I will have to put all variations back.

But at least it will not affect my possible sales for now.

Dang yeah I cannot do that for mine because the picture needs to be of the item they are choosing however I am noticing that it seems to default to one item so I may make that one item my main photo and see how that goes. I seen your other post and was trying to bring more attention to it not sure why eBay keeps messing up variation listings seems like just yesterday it was the inventory glitch now this + checkout for buy it now glitches for buyers its a disaster in what for us is a very busy time.

Forgot to mention I made sure the photos for each variation

were in my descriptions. Only problem now is, I will not know

when it is fixed to put back the variation photos! LOL

Another glitch is when you click on your about me page it

shows a sampling of four of your items.

My four items are all the same listing picture.

What good is that?

Please let me know when this main photo glitch  gets fixed!

I have tried many different times to bring this tech issue to eBay Australia's notice without success. I am a seller and have notice that in the eBay App both on Android and iOS and  also PC when you use the search bar to find product the variation listings display a random variation picture and not the main picture. Please can someone in the eBay system pass this on to Tech and get it fixed.  As already stated it is costing us all sales and we do not have a choice to change or delete all our photos in our listing as we have over 200 different designs. The random photo that is displayed does not stay constant so changing the one variation photo to reflect your main gallery photo also is not a option. Please eBay fix this - this is a major problem - I have used chat, rang eBay US, tried contacting you on Facebook message all with no success. Where is your customer support and tech department.

I have same problems for at least a week. I wrote to eBay twice and nothing was fixed, I am loosing money every day 😕

My latest response from eBay unfortunately not good news - " Thanks so much! It does look like this is a current known site issue, so I will be sure to add your user ID to the list of impacted accounts. It unfortunately doesn't look like there is a current work around but it is in the process of getting resolved!"

Its now another week later and still no action from eBay - have tried every avenue available to get this fixed and get the same replies. We have sen the information to eBay department that looks after it, please provide item numbers. I think the solution is to move my account to Amazon at least I know their customer service department actually do something.
