Unable to 'schedule a pickup' at the USPS site.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this.

Is anyone else experiencing issues when trying to schedule a pickup at the USPS website, after you've paid for and printed your shipping label for an item that you've sold?

After I've paid for and printed my shipping label(2 days ago), at the top of the screen, there's a 'click here' link that takes you to the USPS website, where you can 'schedule a pickup'(which has been working for many years now).

After I log in, and go through filling out information on the various pages, you click 'schedule a pickup', and normally it has 'processing' for less than a minute, then a 'confirmation' screen.

But, for two days, the screen won't go beyond that, just 'processing', and never actually finishing.

I've tried disabling all my Chrome browser extensions, and tried using Firefox, and tried using another PC....all the same thing.

I've googled if there is an outage at the USPS site...found nothing.

Anyone else having this problem?

I've paid for the shipping for Monday, so I need to get this resolved today, or I will have to cancel this order.

Thanks!

Just tried using my cell phone to schedule a pick-up...not working either.

Have you tried contacting your local post office? Maybe they can schedule it through there...

I have a larger postbox, so I, typically, just need to put my flag up...

but I have caught the postman and mine will take it so I don't have to drive to the post office for larger items.

Re: Unable to 'schedule a pickup' at the USPS site.

A little confusing.

Are you the buyer ? or Seller and Buyer? or Seller?

'an item that you sold'...

'cancel this order'...item is mailed to address of person who paid for it.

USPS tries to drop it off...no one home...a notice is left...and then buyer picks it up at your post office.

Yes, that's the page that I'm normally directed to from eBay. Filled in all the info it wanted...still not working.

It's Sunday, they are closed. If I can't get this to work, I'll leave a msg asking the post-person if they can pick up my package from my usual location...hope that works.

I'm the seller, trying to arrange a PO pickup(that I've used for years without issue).

I hope so, too...

sounds incredibly frustrating.

Someone else looks like they are having a similar issue in another thread.

Why not just take it the PO instead of canceling the order?

Have a great day.

My car threw a rod, cracking the engine block, in March 2 years ago, don't have the $$$ to fix it, or buy another car. Anyway, health issues(bad heart, low oxygen levels, needing blood transfusions once a month, etc...etc...etc... prevent me from driving.

Understood; any friends who can take the package in to the PO for you? It's not critical to get it there on Monday simply because of the print date on the label. It's paid for, the USPS has the money for the postage, it just needs to get into their hands soon. This may end up going in to the PO beyond your Handling time, but if it doesn't arrive late as well, no harm done.

No, no one available in my retirement complex...most are in their 80's-90's and don't drive either. I will try leaving a note for my post-person to pick up my package, as their website was down.
