Every single attempt I have made to send a seller a counteroffer, I keep receiving this wretched “We’re are unable to send your message at this time”…I feel like The Griswolds at Wally World right now trying to get this counteroffer in effect before I miss out on the item because of poor development quality from eBay.
Can you guys please stop screwing up the messaging system? Between this and the new unread bubble indicator being completely inaccurate, it’s laughable just how poorly the latest releases to the mobile app have been.

It appears to be an issue with how eBay is handling processing a counteroffer of a seller’s counteroffer. This was working about a month ago (the last time I would have used this feature), so it’s a bug with the latest update to the app.
Thankfully, I was able to successfully submit another offer, but had extra clicks to contend with because it required declining the seller’s counteroffer, then resending what would have been my counteroffer.
TL;DR: There’s a clunky workaround available, but this should be resolved sooner rather than later as it was existing functionality that worked post update from ~four days ago.

Do you get the same error message using a browser compared to the app?
If nothing else, perhaps the error message using a browser will be more helpful.
Is the problem just with one particular seller or listing? Is the item still available?

I had 2 customers yesterday tell me they could not accept or send an offer. This has been an off and on problem for about 6 months. Hopefully they fixed it by today but looking over night when I usually have 10+ offer come through, I had 2 so I'm not too optimistic.
