Calculator would not provide Parcel Select option at label printout page, did chat with ebay help and was informed USPS no long provided ebay with the option to print parcel select labels. Must be purchased at P.O. Anybody else aware of this? Wonder if ebay listing postage calculator will now reflect actual P.O. charge.

CS is full of prunes.
My understanding is that eBay made the decision to "not offer Parcel Select" because it wasn't used much, and was slower.
I still see it offered when I do my labels. Some sellers don't see it.
Parcel Select can be purchased at PP, or other sites if you desire.
Most times I find that Priority is very close to the Parcel Select rate. Priority comes with insurance.
As suggested by another poster in many threads, "ground" should be used just when required. (hazardous items)

ground is the one that had to be purchased at the PO......
Parcel Select is still available to me both in listing and in mail labels.

ground at the Post Office is "Retail Ground"
Parcel Select purchased "online" is ground.
At the label page, some of us see Parcel by clicking on "Compare all services", some do not.

eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc. You can purchase Parcel Select Ground postage through PayPal at
www.PayPal.com/shipnow
But do compare prices before you do that. For Zones 1 - 4, the USPS online price for Priority Mail is less than a dollar more than Parcel Select Ground. If you're a TRS you get a 3% discount when purchasing Priority labels through eBay, which often makes it cheaper than Parcel Select
IMHO Parcel Select ground should only be offered when necessary such as for hazmat or Oversize packages (i.e., length-plus-girth above the Priority limit of 108 inches).

Check out this post on it. The short story is this: eBay offers it as an option even though USPS doesn't so we, the seller, get stuck holding the bag. So we pay for the nearest in price and take the hit. For me, selling something for $5 that the customer paid $9 shipping on then I had to pay $10 for a priority label. After all the fees and my loss on shipping.... It's discouraging.

But, alas, USPS does offer Parcel Select. It is eBay that has stopped showing the option to some sellers.
As has been posted over, and over again (also in the thread that you provided Check out this post on it) Parcel Select (the online version of Retail Ground) is alive , and well. Some sellers still see the option, and as has been posted over, and over again, Parcel Select is available at other "online" label printing sites. PayPal, Pirateship, Stampsdotcom..................................

That's what I was told by ebay help, USPS stopped offering it on ebay, not that ebay has stopped offering it. Don't know which is true, but I cannot get it for label printing. It's still on the listing calculator in order to be able to offer it to buyers in case seller is okay with running package to P.O. to purchase postage. I've found that Priority may or may not be similar in cost. At times, cost difference is considerable, other times, not so. Have no idea what governs the difference.

If that service can't be used, why does it still default to that when the buyer pays for shipping?? And why doesn't the page notify us of why we can't print the label? **bleep**, eBAY?? I was using PayPal to print labels but since my money/sale isn't going through them anymore, I doubt I still can.
The result is that shipping is delayed for my customer! The only thing eBay is offering is priority mail, esp flat rate envelopes. I can't fit a pair of high heels in a flat rate envelope, nor would I want to!
