Tried to add tracking number to 2nd purchased item to ship to the same buyer, but get error message.

Buyer purchased two items separately. Shipped together. When I try to add tracking number Ebay posts message : tracking number added is already used for a different buyer.
It's the same buyer.

If they placed two different orders, it should be shipped like that.

You should be able to enter the same tracking for 2 separate orders unless the addresses are different or something of that nature.

It may be the same buyer @operationspirit4troops , but did they use the same ID for both transactions? If the buyer checked out as a guest, making 2 separate transactions, there will be 2 separate eBay IDs which will produce the error message you're describing. Sometimes guest accounts can look nearly identical except for one character.

If it is the same exact ID, are the packages going to eIS C/O Buyer Name - in other words, are they being shipped through the eBay International Shipping program? Because that's another reason the system would prevent you from combining.

This is why I always suggest sellers use bulk shipping (if purchasing shipping through eBay) as that screen will tell you whether or not orders can be combined.

Happened to me MANY times. Same buyer, 2 different 'ebay id names' (sometimes just 'slightly) so you then have to package and ship separately.

Thank you. Same name and address 2 different user ID's both have 0 feedback and new accounts. Now I am suspicious.

Thank you. It was to a US address new accounts, 0 FB same buyer same address, but purchased separately. I always use eBay shipping but shipping doesn't always show combine purchases. I always do so and refund shipping. I try to get buyer's when they ask to combine purchases to put in cart and then request invoice first before they pay, but it doesn't always happen. 
Thanks for your response. I will just void the label and send the orders separate. I do detest wasting money especially to give to USPS.

They probably have different ebay ids. More than likely they just made a purchase as a guest & ebay randomly assigned two different guest IDs & required separate order. That is quite normal.

There's nothing suspicious about that. The buyer used guest checkout and made separate purchases, probably clicking "buy it now" instead of "add to cart." Guest checkout generates a different ID each time someone makes a purchase.

Nothing to be suspicious about. New Buyers do this all the item, either sign up and forget sign in 10 minutes later, or just buy as 'guest' and ebay 'assigns' a name each/every time.
