Translator is annoying and refuses to turn off

First of all, YES I HAVE TRIED TO TURN IT OFF IN THE SETTINGS MENU.

I am trying to search for plushie called Fumo, but the translator keeps changing it for Smoke, because it thinks I am writing in Portuguese. Even after I turned off the translation it keeps doing it, it is very annoying. The technical team should remove this translator or ate least make the turn off button works.

Again, because I know some smarties will ask "have you tried turning off in the settings menu"

Is that a feature of the eBay app?
