Traffic Not showing correct data

Since moving over to the new traffic page, this is all i get for my traffic for today which is showing as 0 impressions and 0 views.. yesterdays figures also dont match the sales we had either so there is something wrong.. i cant check if we are getting realtime traffic as i used to.

@carinya.designs there are definitely some funky things going on with traffic stats right now, both in the new functionality introduced for the mobile app and in the new desktop/web experience.

Community staff have acknowledged the Product Teams are aware of the technical issue and are working on it:

For days I could not get my traffic page to load, now it's working and it's a new page so now I know why it was not working they were in the middle of switching. I see no improvement here whatsoever, the bar graphs are gone replaced by what looks like a picture from my fish finder. How was this supposed to make my life easier I wonder?

I was on the phone, patiently, with customer service about the dead traffic page for about 20 minutes. It was going well. Really, I was just trying to report the issue again with hopes that eBay might do something about it sooner than later. The representative was very pleasant. I was placed on hold while they were "looking into it" for me. The call conveniently disconnected a few minutes into the hold music... Of course I can't get back to the representatives I was speaking with. I don't think I am going to hear back, either.

This feature rollout seems to be a failure that has crippled the seller performance data. There are also reports of these issues potentially affecting actual sales negatively, per some other users here. Though, I don't sell enough to be sure about that myself.

I don't suppose there's a way to opt out of this new page? It's much harder to read.

It's also showing me Saturday Nov 9th traffic which hasn't even happened yet. Has my traffic at -100%...

Yeah not sure I would rely on accuracy until they get the kinks worked out, my traffic shows up 48% for the month but down 8% for the week, that's a big swing.

I bet everyone's current lack of Traffic + sales is due to the technical issue that

Sorting items by lowest price is not currently working correctly. Items are not being correctly sort...

This is a problem that is costing everyone in sales.

Check and see where your items fall on the list for sale.

It makes no sense at all right now.

So now my traffic count is showing up over +50% for the month but down -18.6% for the week, if that is true where did everyone go? Thats a big change. Was there really that many issues with the traffic page they had to change it, I cannot remember having any problems with it.

This change has been a big fail. Very hard to read, very small print and now all 3 categories are separate instead of all in one sharp graph. Another step backwards.

Appears to have a latency which the old page did not have.

The old page showed partial results for the current date, this page shows zero results for the current date.

The past dates appear to have plausible data for my listings.

I suspect that the old page was less efficient in its use of system resources, and the change might have been intentional.

@tobaccocardyahoo there may be some additional latency vs the old one, but (for those who are not experiencing the tech issue making things blank in error) it's not that it shows zero for the current day...it's that they added "tomorrow" to the chart when it didn't used to be there.

There is partial data for today (not sure how much of a lag time there might be)

But today isn't the last possible date you can choose - they add an extra future day which of course will be at zero because it hasn't happened yet (in this example the last option is Monday, November 11.)

I would assume maybe they did that to help the visual representation of the partial day not look so stark in comparison to the full days?

We see posts here sometimes from people freaking out thinking something is wrong because their chart showed a huge drop off when the reality is it's only a few hours into the current day so of course there haven't been as many impressions/views as a full day usually is.

Not saying the extra day actually makes it any better but I can at least see where they may have been trying to come up with a solution. 😂
