Technical Issue #2- Selling- eBay relisting items I've already sold

So..... about 7 weeks ago, I had 2 pairs of men's Levi's to list, one 38x30, one 30x32.  I used the multiple listings option, found it fussy and unclear, but on my end, it showed the 2 variations.  The 38x30 sold after about a week, and  on my end, it showed '1 sold/1 available' and in the drop down menu, it showed '30x32/38x30 out of stock'.  Well, 2 weeks, someone bought the 38x30 pair- had to send a long spiel about clarifying what size he wanted, etc and had to refund his payment, as of course, somehow on his end, he shows me as having a 38x30 available.  I took down the listing, relisted the 30x32 as a single item, and guess what?  Sure enough, 2 days ago, the 38x30 has sold AGAIN!  Get it together, eBay-- you are wasting my time, and the buyer's time; I can't do a thing about the issue because on my end, it's showing exactly how it should!!  Get it together, eBay!

If you took down the listing.......it's going to go on your unsold page........unless you delete from there,  it's very easy to relist it when you do a mass relist......

Again, I deleted it.  Not showing anywhere on my end of things....

Interesting. I have had this and similar "sold but relisted" issues "just this year". I have assumed I must of done something "wrong", now I wonder??? Guess I had better start keeping track!

Longstanding issue, mysterious relists.

In some cases it's because the seller doesn't understand or doesn't realize that when they end a listing it stays in the Unsold list unless you delete it from the unsold list.

But there are other cases where sellers, including me, have sold single listing items only to have them reappear in the active listings weeks later.
