Store settings in manage/edit store to set as my default for how buyers view listings not working

in edit store there is a choice to set for default when buyers visit store "how do you want buyers to see items in store" this feature in my edit store isn't working also the choice in edit store for gallery few or list few when buyers visit store isn't working anyone else? you have to go to edit store to really see what i'm talking about.Want it to display highest price first it won't.

They did away with the choices back in June as part of the store overhaul.  Unfortunately they never removed the choices from the seller's manage the store page.........
