I am sure glad I found this place for my favorite "glitch", but really not a glitch = just a poor design.
If we have an old listing and want to relist it as "similar" , but say we had originally 5 items and sold 2,
the similar listing reverts back to 5.
This stinks if you don't catch it and the original listing said I have 3 left that I ended and all of a sudden the new similar listing shows I have 5 with 2 "ghosts"..
Okay, I got caught twice before I realized what is going on and I had
to do a lot of appologizing when I sold something that didn't exist and probably got nailed on my ebay record with 2 "out of stocks".
What ebay should do is in that situation, have the new "similar" listing start at a quantity of 1 and
then the seller can put whatever quantity they want in there without the danger of defaulting to too many
items.

It's always been this way.........relist is of the original listing with the original quantity..... If you want the quantity to continue being counted down, use GTC......it will hold the current quantity......when it rolls over.
