Anyone else experiencing this? I am on a MacOS Sonoma 14.5. I have also tried updating my profile via Firefox (which is up to date), but I'm still getting the same evil red banner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is still happening. I was trying to add the cutout date for holiday shipping and in the process I deleted all my "about" info. This is very important for my business to communicate my info, and shipping. Any updates?

Hey @politicalkitty we have an internal ticket open for this issue and it is currently under investigation!
Hey kyle@ebay . Can you see if there are any updates - maybe find out if this is a tech issue or an intentional change (having to remove all line breaks to publish changes to the About page)?
This issue is presenting itself multiple times every day on this forum.
If this is an intentional change, the error message that appears needs to be more prescriptive.

Hey @wastingtime101 I just checked the ticket and it still shows open, though there aren't any updates to share at this time. That being said, it does not appear, at this point in time, to be an intentional change. I'll be sure to post updates as we receive them.

I see the same red banner picture [! Error on saving Profile.] when I try to save a profile picture. This is frustrating, as I tried both a laptop and a mobile phone. I am still trying to figure out what else we can do. I even tried looking at YouTube and hoped there were some solutions. Any assistance is appreciated.

Try removing the "newline" paragraph breaks in your "About" description; that is what is preventing you from saving your profile.

@eburtonlab
Thanks for your suggestion.
I tried deleting all of my "About" sections, but it still doesn't save.

I still see your original "About" statement, with the newlines.
Try saving something in your "About" statement that does not include any html formatting at all, just text, such as just your first paragraph.

I did get the doggy logo into my profile so I am ok for now until there's a better fix. @eburtonlab, thanks for helping.
Cheers

🏆THE SOLUTION!!! 🏆 Thank you so much! This website is so sketchy it's not even possible to mark your answer as the solution. I'm sure good things will come your way 🙂 Thanks, Kelli

After weeks of frustration, and a not so helpful cs experience.., found this thread and "bingo" problem resolved!

As of 12/30/24 still having this issue. I took your suggestion and removed paragraphs/line spacing, ran all text as one paragraph and system accepted my profile update.

This did not work for me. As to why 2025 this still occurs is unexplainable but it's difficult to make money if your about me and profile picture are two separate thingsthath make me appear unprofessional or untrustworthy

If you recently changed your username, try signing out and signing back in. That may allow the username change to propagate throughout the system, and it may help with odd errors.

i appreciate the quick response but still no luck with signing out deleting cookies making sure there's no line breaks I've done every possible solution is it possible that its because I used a software on another site to help me fix any grammar mistakes I made because usually I copied that and pasted it into my about section so I could save time on work
