Anyone else experiencing this? I am on a MacOS Sonoma 14.5. I have also tried updating my profile via Firefox (which is up to date), but I'm still getting the same evil red banner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I saw a similar message recently, though I am not having any problems updating my profile using Firefox on a Windows 10 machine.
Can you update your eBay profile using a mobile browser in desktop mode on your phone?

Ok cool, i thought I was the only one. Been trying to update my seller profile and keep getting that message on any and all browsers I use.

I use an automated tool to make regular changes to my about me. It stopped working suddenly and upon testing manually I cannot edit the about me either. I will let you know if I find a way around the error and I’ll report the bug to eBay.

Hello everyone,
I want to bring attention to an issue with the profile description feature that I have identified. Many users may not realize that including line breaks in their descriptions is causing an error when they attempt to save their profile. This results in the description not being saved at all.
Through investigation, I discovered that the <textarea> element used for profile descriptions is not handling or saving line breaks correctly, which leads to this error during the save process. This means that formatted descriptions with multiple lines cannot be saved successfully.
I’m sharing this finding so that the support team is aware of the problem and can look into it, as fixing this would improve the user experience significantly.

Absolute nightmare! Still not resolved. I have now tried on a laptop and my phone, cleared cache and browsing history on both devices and I'm still receiving the error? I'm simply just trying to update my profile info- profile picture and bio- but it's just not letting me?
Any fix for this please! I'd like to start selling items now and I don't want to do so until my shop is in correct order 🙄

How is this not fixed yet? Linebreaks are the issue but this issue has been around for weeks now.
