Pardon Our Interruption browser check fail on EVERY item ebay.co.uk

Pardon Our Interruption browser check fail on EVERY item ebay.co.uk. Seems it was affecting Opera and affects Palemoon. Just sits there, no item displayed.

You really need to fix this ASAP. And from a web design standpoint, it's really janky. Makes the site look like a real poor effort.ebay.jpg

@6thgenauctions

What version of Opera?

Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser, and that JavaScript is enabled and not blocked.

Try another browser or a private or incognito browser window to rule out a browser issue.

If the error occurs when using a specific link, try using a different link to achieve the same results, as a link that leads to a redirection loop can trigger the "bot" message.

Anything odd about your network? Using a VPN or a hotspot? Or a custom firewall? Specialized privacy software?

More suggestions and discussion about this issue can be found in this thread:

There was a similar issue a couple of years ago, most likely caused by a change by eBay or the third party service that provides bot-detection and security, but since then I don't think that there has been a widespread issue like that.

The problem seems to be fixed now. Just for clarity it was not a BOT issue. Browser check failure. Both Opera and Palemoon are current. Can confirm issue fixed in these browsers.

Thank you

Getting same notice here.  I am a seller, and if I cant see listings, I assume others can not see them either.  I pay to boost listing visibility, how about making it so links go somewhere rather than held up.  Firefox, turned off site tracking protection, VPN and other security protections.

If you are using a VPN and experiencing problems, simply turning off the VPN may not be sufficient to fix things at that point. You may need to take further steps such as rebooting your device or your network hardware. It may take some experimentation on your part to find what works for you.

I do not think this particular issue is affecting most users, though.

I am using Firefox 139.0.4 and no VPN, and I am not having problems seeing your listings. I occasionally see that "Checking your browser" for a moment, but for me it always goes away quickly and is replaced by the page I want to see.
