This is getting almost laughable as things continue to fall apart on the platform....now completed transactions are not archiving after numerous attempts I just don't care anymore......

Would you mind to describe the exact steps you are taking to archive orders please.
I just tested this on my account and I was able to archive orders without issue. So this isn't a site wide problem, but that does not in any way mean that your issue isn't a valid one. I'm just trying to understand you situation and not assume anything.
I hope you will take a moment to comply.
Something you might try is to clear your cache and cookies and then try it again. Those pesky things can create some of the oddest problems sometimes.

same here. started friday with only one order. tried multiple times over the weekend. using both the bulk archive button, and the drop down archive button. but today it would not archive any order. we archive all orders after shipping, and have done that for 19 years. so now there's a hundred that won't archive
