So my Ebay account was suspended due to financial issues during half of January and all of February. Due to this I had some shipments go past my one day handling time. Currently I have a few late shipments due to a Paypal investigation that is almost complete due to a large payment. These two things combined have temporarily booted me from PowerSeller status.
Here's the issue or question; unsure which at this moment. It is expected that the loss of PowerSeller status will lower me in a lot of listings lowering my activity. I was a regular seller like I am currently so I know something isn't right. My views and sales are lower than they have ever been. Would the Ebay system be punishing me like that for a few late shipments? Or could there be a glitch in the system related to my account coming back from suspension combined with the PowerSeller loss?
I'd recently changed most of my refund policy to 60 day from 30 day and just noticed that I accidentally added a 20% restock fee when there was no fee before. Could it be that?
I'm thinking about running ads though I'd rather not or putting a small clearance on my items to combat whatever is happening. Do you think this would even work? All the Ebay rep said is let's give it a week or two and if it doesn't get better call us back. What in the world kind of help is that? Those reps kill me sometimes; that was code for I have no clue and this is my way to blow you off. She said my account looked fine, but she didn't even know what Cassini was so I'm not trusting her.
Maybe it's something I don't realize. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Hi, Did your listings ever improve? I was searching for answer to problems similar to what you have described. I started noticing I wasn't getting views on my listings and upon further investigation I discovered my listings were not searchable for 8-10 hours after posting them. I traced it back to the day I subscribed to a basic store. Prior to the subscription, I could sell something within minutes of listing them. I could at least immediately see people viewing my listings. Calling customer service was a nightmare. The first two days were not so bad. The 4th person I was transferred to claimed they actually found something on my account. That person said they removed it and said I shouldn't have any more problems. Didn't fix it so next day called and again got transferred 4 times and that person said they saw the flag had bounced back on the account. This time I asked what it was exactly and he said it was a "Flag Delay" Removed again. Still didn't work. The next two days of calls and 15 different people (transferred that many times) all said they couldn't find any problem and I got the indexing 24 hr. speech and no correlation with my subscription statement. None of them admitting to knowing what a "Flag Delay" was. So I guess the first two days I was lied to by the people who said they found something. Sad to say, I now know that my listings in all categories won't go live for exactly 8 hours. Every listing, Every time like clockwork. I can list the exact same item on my husbands account and it's immediately searchable. Go Figure.

That's interesting. I've never heard that. I've heard sales or promotions won't start for an hour.
I think the flag thing sounds about right, but I wonder what flags us. What is the criteria.
I'm sorry it's a late reply as I didn't see this until just now. Posting a very similar message. Ironically, my sales picked up and then at the same point in the month I posted this my sales dropped again. Maybe I'm on the stiff sales decline from the 7th-11th plan on Ebay, lol... But no, seriously. I'm sure it's a coincidence; or is it? Ebay is such a mystery.
I did call support last month after this post. The rep said she saw something then placed me on hold. When she came back she wouldn't admit to saying she saw something; said everything looks fine on my account. That I should give it 24 hours or so and call back; that it should get better. Yet, she said no changes were made. Sure enough, the next day my sales fired back up like I'd expect. All has been well until Sunday. Actually afternoon on Saturday Est. I had 5 sales before noon on Saturday and 4 offers. Since then I think it's been 4 sales and 1 offer; nothing else after noon Saturday though.
It seems like much more than coincidence. Maybe I should call them again.
