No Sales

I have been having issues with slow sales for the past 4 weeks. My sales are down about 60%. I have been selling for over 15 years, have approximately 1400 items listed and have continued to list on a daily basis - so NOTHING has changed on my end. For the past 2 days my sales have been ZERO. This has never happened before. I have spoken to Ebay on several occasions over the last 4 weeks with no resolve. Has anyone else experienced this? Would Ebay Technical Services PLEASE look at my store? I would love to speak to someone from TS - however, there is no way to do that anymore. Thank you for your time.

Yes, probably beginning to see the end of the massive online shopping. Now returning slowly to the ole slower sales and the time of the year where things start to slow down always here.

Yep, go to your listings that have zero watchers and do sell similar.

Ebay does not advertise much becuase they tried it and they found out that it did not make a lick of difference really in their overall sales. I listened to a radio show with one of their top advertising folks awhile ago.

Not to mention that countries are shutting down again and we have two NASTY mutant COVID virus’s coming out to staet the whole process over again. People shedding their masks are making a big mistake right now. Watch out for another wave with the MUTANTS coming your way.

I don't know for sure, but think there are many reasons why sales have declined. Search manipulations, managed payments ending payments going into PayPal accounts, taxes, etc... I have been selling on here for almost 20 years, and have noticed the more changes ebay makes, the more my sales decline 😠

My sales have also dropped dramatically. I sell mostly cool- to cold-weather men's clothing, anywhere from mid-tier to high-end items. So this time of year is normally slow for me. But according to eBay metrics, both March and April of this year have seen about 30% less in sales compared to the same months in 2020. 

I tried messing around with promotions for the past couple months, but that seems to make no difference at all, so I've just stopped promoting most of my items. Instead, I've just dropped all my prices by about 10% to 30% from what it was previously. Still, very few sales. 

I've been a Top-Rated Seller for about 5 consistent years now, so this sudden dip is very strange for me.

Same here - I am honestly glad it's not just me.  I usually sell 5-10 items daily and I am lucky to get 1 every couple of days.  Discouraging.

Again, am just wondering if this is because folks are very slowly returning to in-person shopping, as opposed to online buying.

@dvt5tz   Sorry your sales are off, mine have been off since early February.  Calling eBay is not going to do anything, the people you talk to on the phone have absolutely nothing to do with the eBay search engines and/or algorithms ...

I grew a 2nd ID to the low 5 figures over a 12 month period only to see it die in a few short months after the March 2018 eBay GTC listing mandate ... yep, like you I did NOTHING different and it literally died, sales dropped to one a week then 1 per month so I emptied that store and have not touched it since.

I understand that sales can fluctuate so the dips you are seeing may simply be the new cycle for Buyers in your categories ... so you might have mainly good months sprinkled with some bad ones.  I am also sure that eBay has something to do with some drops in sales but for them to 1) admit it and 2) pinpoint what the problem is would be asking too much ...

My sales dropped from February . I have almost 1200 auctions. Before February has 4-13 sales every day. Now is about 5 weekly. They didn`t see any problem.

This definetly makes sense.  People are relieved to get out and support small businesses.

My last sale was March 26th.  With all the changes I am probably going to have to cancel my account.  The experience has been deteriorating for months.

Looks like wherever ebay was doing has hopefully ended. Sales started happening Sat 5/15. The big word is hopefully!!!!!!!!!!

Totally True. Ebay has ads up the wazooo here for every butt pimple cream it the world but spend a dime to advertise for us seems to be lost on these geniuses.😤
