Ever since around 2pm EST yesterday, every new item I list for sale gets indexed in the eBay search about 1 min after being posted, but then after about 5 mins, they get taken off the search and just disappear. They are still located in my items list for sale but no longer appear in the eBay search engine.

I have tried ending the listings and creating brand new listings for these items but to no avail, the same scenario keeps happening. I have never seen this before since I started selling back in 2010. I know eBay says it can take 24hrs for items to index but I have sold many thousands of items and I have always checked every item to see if it shows up in the search after I list them. Every item shows up within 1 min in the search, but now anything newly listed doesn't show. I don't know what's going on and if it is a glitch or not. Anyone else experiencing this? All of these search engine glitches and issues since May have been truly frustrating.

UPDATE

Listed several items about an hour ago.

One made it into the indexing, can be found via searching and appears in search results.

All the other items did not. They cannot be found via any search method (Item ID number, key words, etc.) and do not appear in the search results.

So it appears that this is a hit or miss type situation.

I finally found my item on just a general search. First time in 2 weeks!

I’m having the same problem. I relisted 160 items two days ago and none of them show up in a general search although they do show up on my active listing pages. They must be showing up somewhere as I do have views and watchers being registered on my active listing page.

This still a problem.

Several of my listing are over 48 hours old and have yet to be indexed.

Obviously, they have no views, watchers or bids.

This makes a 7 day auction essentially useless.

Is anyone else still experiencing this problem?

So sorry to hear people are still having problems with this 😞 it seems for me that the issue completely clear up. I believe merchant support handled this for me. Please email merchant support yourself so they can fix this situation for you! Merchantsupport_na@ebay.com

Nevermind… I spoke too soon. I just listed something that is not indexing 🤦🏻‍🤦🏻‍🤦🏻‍ Ugh. So frustrating.

This started happening to me a couple of months ago, but pretty much only on items of a specific brand - and it wasn't a particularly fancy brand, either. It ate into the time for a couple of auctions I was running, so I gave up on those and just did fixed price.

I reached out to customer service and was told that listings can take up to 24 hours to show up, but, like you, I've never had anything take longer than 5-10 minutes at the most over the years I've been here.

And yes, after about exactly 24 hours, the listings would show up. But why did it happen? And why has it seemingly resolved for me (for now)? It really negates the point of running auctions when it happens.
