New listings not being indexed on eBay search!

Ever since around 2pm EST yesterday, every new item I list for sale gets indexed in the eBay search about 1 min after being posted, but then after about 5 mins, they get taken off the search and just disappear. They are still located in my items list for sale but no longer appear in the eBay search engine.

I have tried ending the listings and creating brand new listings for these items but to no avail, the same scenario keeps happening.  I have never seen this before since I started selling back in 2010. I know eBay says it can take 24hrs for items to index but I have sold many thousands of items and I have always checked every item to see if it shows up in the search after I list them. Every item shows up within 1 min in the search, but now anything newly listed doesn't show. I don't know what's going on and if it is a glitch or not. Anyone else experiencing this? All of these search engine glitches and issues since May have been truly frustrating.

I have reached out to ebay for business and they say they are seeing no reports of this issue and I should wait 24-48hrs. So frustrated as I know how this works and my items always index in the search in 1 min or less. I have reached out to my ebay handbag manager that monitors my sales and listings and she is radio silent - she probably has no answers either and doesn't know what to say. Come to the forums and no one seems to be seeing this issue either. This could completely break me if this continues for weeks on end because no one wants to look into it since it isn't being reported.

those items do not show on a number search or in your listings for me.

Make sure you keep a list of them titles.

Absolutely, I intend to do so. Ebay for business also wants me to show them examples of listings that aren't indexing after the have been up for 48 hrs so I am going to have to wait. I just got an answer from ebays handbag manager and she says it can take 24hrs to index. She also said the 2 items that I posted as urls, she can see them pop up in the search. I don't know how that can be as obviously they are not coming up in the search. So confusing. I guess we will have to wait and see in the next 48hrs. Ugh. Thank you for talking to me instead of not saying anything and making me stew about this by myself haha.

Never mind, my personal eBay handbag manager got confused with which items I was referring to. She just told me that the 2 items I have posted about in the first place are not showing in the search results and she finds in concerning as well. She submitted a ticket for technical support. Hoping and praying this gets fixed!

My 2 items were finally indexed! I wonder if this was an actual technical issue and the service ticket that was given to the tech support made a difference? Or if it finally just decided to index. Very interesting. I will be back later if it continues to happen.

I'm having the same problem!  I listed several items the past 2 weeks and none of them are showing up when I do a search.  They appear on my list as active.  I have revised the listings several times but nobody is viewing my items.  I recently sold 2 Dooney & Bourke handbags so they obviously were showing up, but the new listings are not.  Glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem.  I was going to take my items down and resist to see if that helps but am waiting to see if someone has a suggestion.

so how far down the newly listed item search are they???

That is the single problem of the late indexing system.

Folks that search for the new items: such late indexing allows em to be missed.  It for sure will cut down the view and of course watchers in such:

In this case the items are rare enough a searcher may find them.

In other cases that first looks are now gone: and you item may not get views until it is in the ending search.

@pinecastle @donsdetour Nevermind, I still have problems with new listings being indexed about 24hrs after I post them for sale. It has taken a big hit on my business because 24hrs is a long time to wait for me, plus you’re right, I have noticed late indexing means my items show lower in the search results. Thankfully the items I sell are rare and highly sought after, but still, this is very concerning. It all started on Sept 1 so I am not sure if they updated something? Seems too coincidental to me. I guess this is the new norm now. How terrible this is for people experiencing the same issue. I pray everyday that eBay gets themselves together, especially the IT department.

I still cannot find my listings.  I used a different computer and browser where I am not logged in and my listings are not showing.  It doesn't matter how general or specific that I filter my search it is not showing up.

I quit revising on the advice of other people on this forum but that has not helped.  I'm only an occasional seller but I have never had an issue.

I see a dooney and Bourke bag and lands end boot that you have up for sale. Are there any other items that you have listed for sale? How many days has it been since you listed these items and they haven’t come up in the search?

Those are the only 2 listings that I have.  I can see the boots in a search but not the handbag.  I listed both items over 2 weeks ago.  People on this forum seem to be able to see them but I am not getting any views other than that.  I thought maybe nobody was interested  but I recently sold 2 other dooney bags and they had a lot of views.

I see both the d&b bag and the boots in the search when you type in keywords. These 2 items have no problems with indexing. The d&b bag is just near the bottom of the search engine for some reason.

This exact problem started for me yesterday. Anything I have listed has yet to be indexed.

I am listing vintage photographs not handbags.

I will continue to list items and provide an update if they get indexed.

If anyone can provide additional information on this problem it would be greatly appreciated!

It’s been a week and If I just search for my item it doesn’t show but if I look at the bottom of my screen under results matching fewer words , it shows up. Can’t figure it out. Virtually nobody has viewed my listing except people on this forum who are trying to help me.
