Has anyone heard from ebay regarding this issue, I am not listing anything else until this problem is resolved.

Trinton's comment was from Friday. We wait for Monday to see if there is any info.
We can hope that eBay finds a way to set the correct flags on the Gallery image, without relisting current active listings.

@dollybeauty, I'm resigned to waiting until Monday too, but I hope that eBay retains some of the "start-up mentality" that says you don't go home at 5PM on Friday and forget everything until Monday morning.

This issue has not been resolved on eBay UK (I've just tried listing an item now - no zoom available).
As this thread has established, it's clearly a fault with the site, not user photos/browsers etc.
The best way to proceed is to pull your affected listings (I've just pulled three, after reloading the pictures/relisting didn't work).
If enough sellers end their listings, eBay will start losing money - then they'll pay attention and sort the problem out fast.
It should (but won't) be a lesson to them to stop redesigning/upgrading/tinkering/f*cking about with things that already work perfectly well.

I’ve found a WORK-AROUND that WORKS ..
I sell a lot of old gear that absolutely needs the move-over-zoom feature to work, and past few days of ebay faults with this bug has hindered my sales, and prevented me listing new items.
However, as of today 27-8-2017 13:00 GMT I seem to have found a work-around that has worked for me at least. And yes, I wasted many hours experimenting with potential fixes.
What I did was search past sales from other sellers, that had the zoom feature working.
I then clicked on the ‘sell it yourself’ (ie, sell similar item) link below the old adverts photos, and then simply cut and pasted my own heading, text, and uploaded my 1600 pixel wide photos, and checked post/regions etc.
Bingo – zoom now WORKS !
Naturally, ebays listing tool threw up an ‘you are selling an identical item’ fault, and to get around this I just ‘ended early’ my previous non-zoom listing, and this works too.
Hope this works for other sellers.
Anyone know how to send ebay inc an invoice for my testing / bug fixing time .. ??

>>Nice idea, I just tried it but sadly it didn't work.>>
I just checked an item your selling (arc welder ..) and zoom IS working on that.
Was this a listing that didnt work with whatever browser you're using ? Or might be date related. Not sure when the zoom fault started occuring. For me its been since 24th Aug.

Yes, it works on the first picture (out of 3) on that listing. The fault must have developed after I uploaded that first photo but before I loaded all later ones. I uploaded all 3 at the same time (ie not by revising the listing).
Same date, 24th, the zoom worked fine before then.
