This is a really annoying feature (or non-feature) of the new eBay interface - having an "Unanswered message" flag in your Active Selling dashboard that will not go away.

There is no way to mark messages as answered in the new interface.

For anyone else having this problem, here's a work-around:

From your Activity page, click All Selling under the Selling menu
Under your username (top-ish left) click Switch to classic view
On the item that has "Unanswered Question" flag, click More Options
Click Mark question as answered

All done!

after I got tricked into using the new seller hub a Ebay rep tried to get me to do that. If you have a store subscription the option is not available to switch to classic view. So I get to pay ebay a monthly fee to be a forced guinea pig / tester. The rep also told me when the seller hub is up and running Ebay plans to switch and not use the old selling page. You might as well start getting used to it. Some features work on it like view and watch counts. For shipping labels and messaging buyers right now the old selling page works better. You can book mark the old selling page and go back to it when the seller hub has issues.

Still, why Ebay changed something that is working fine to some half-working 2.0 tablet look-alike is beyond me.

Seller hub now looks confusing. Deleted link on the left is gone. Constant red not for unanswered questions even if they have been answered.

I have hundreds of "questions" to answer even though I have answered them all. Is there a way IN BULK to "mark all as answered"? Thanks

In the new Seller Hub interface:

1. Go to the Seller Hub "overview" page

2. Click on the link "with questions" under "active listings"

3. Next to the item with the question expand the box to the right by placing your cursor on the line between "actions" and "photo", holding the mouse button down, and sliding the mouse to the right.

4. An arrow with a drop-down menu will appear and you will be able to choose "mark as answered"
