Please go to my store and search say Necklace. The results show outside my store and the categories on the left are not my categories, but rather eBay's. I worked very hard on creating specific cats so buyers may easily find what they're looking for. Further, I also have sub categories which cannot be seen because, once again, we see eBay cats and not my own. This is just so wrong and very confusing to buyers - they do a search in my store and then boom, they're no longer in my store! Do you see what I mean?
And what about the ON SALE feature that used to be there? I always haves sales going on, but potential buyers will not know this now. It used to be located in the header containing All Listings-Auction-Buy It Now, but gone now.
And yes, please check into why every store's default is now Best Match even though we may have it set to Newly Listed or something. This is broken and needs to be fixed.

Thank you for making us aware of your concerns. The Store search functionality has changed to the top search box which is visibile on all eBay pages. Store search results are constrained to items in your Store, and are presented in the eBay search results page format. The category structure for Search uses eBay categories, as you mentioned. These new elements bring shoppers a uniform item search experience, no matter where they are searching from on eBay. This new experience helps shoppers find just what they are looking for, and offers a consistent experience. For Stores that have adopted custom categories, items will be regrouped to the most appropriate eBay category for users to find when they are searching your Store. We are working to bring more Store branding elements forward to the search experience such as logo and banner, in future Store enhancements.
Buyers can see discounts both in Store search results, I've added an image at the bottom of this post for reference.
Finally, we're working to restore your ability to select default view for your listings from Best Match, and we're hoping to release this with the next set of Store enhancements coming later this year.

Thank you for making us aware of this issue. Our product teams are working on updating custom category support, and we anticipate a solution for this issue soon. The recommended work around is to adopt eBay categories in the meantime - I realize this might not be an option for you, and yet wanted to mention it.
