Lost Photos

Hi,

I use my listing photos for locating my items in my warehouse. Basically, my last photo in listing has a number which coincides with physical location of item in warehouse. I have alot of hours (weeks/months) into taking pictures & placing items in inventory location, to find & package when sold. Ebay lost most of my listing photos (which show inventory location in warehouse). I have called ebay around 20 times and they can always find my lost pictures in a "previous incarnation" of listing or "original listing" at time of uploading listing. Ebay then relays the info from my last photo so I can find/ship item. Ebay says I must call them for this info every time I sell an item or have a question on an item (to get physical location of item, i.e. info in last photo). Ebay is west coast & I am east coast as far as available call time. This gives me a very limited window to make call & I do have a real job also. Obviously, this is driving me nuts and is **bleep**. I have to call ebay whenever I sell an item so ebay can tell me where item is in my warehouse. Same procedure every call (csr looks for item-can't see photo needed. Checks w/ tech etc. -on hold 10-15 min. Gets back to me with needed info from lost photo from old version of listing). I sometimes sell multiple items a day & same procedure for each sold item. Ebay has always found needed info after some prodding etc. Can anyone offer any guidance or have any suggestions less rebuilding (photos/inventory location etc.) entire store? Thank you!

Re: Lost Photos

Hi,

Thank you for suggestions. I don't do facebook or any social media .. Hopefully pictures & info is restored in listings .. If not my only option is to cancel or redo store.

Re: Lost Photos

have you tried google cache? it may be to late i think it is i recovered all my lost photos from google cache but did mine right away.

Simple way to explain is #1 copy and paste this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/(and add your item # here)
#2 SEARCH in google, your listing should come up,
#3 look for little black arrow in search result, click on that
#4 then you see cache and click on that,
i clicked on photos then just dragged each one and renamed 1,2,3etc.) you can back button when your done and just replace the old item # and search again. you can also just drag the photo to listing box if you pull up separate windows.
Probably did the hard way but worked for me.

Re: Lost Photos

Hi,

Thank you all for replies & suggestions. Unfortunatley too late for cached on google. As of 9/14 ebay can still find needed info when I call. Still no fix on their end or offer of any compensation. I really hope they get their s**t together...

Re: Lost Photos

Hello,

They may compensate you for your time! Document every communication with them, though. You'll need it for when your given a big, DUH! Round and round you'll, go...lol. I was able to receive a partial compensation for what had been promised me for losing my photo's on 55 listing's. Then times that by 12 photo's per listing, that's alot of **bleep** work, all over again!!

Get a case number or reference number about your complaint, date and time plus, who it is your speaking with about your problems on the photo's!

I've, spent many hours redoing those listing photo's and many more hours dealing with there phone shuffle, idoits and general lack of caring in trying to get what is was that they had promised! Good luck but, at least you might look good with a blue face.  But, you won something...wink! Mine so far figured up to be $0.22 per photo or approx. 45 minutes to redo each listing....per hour? Who knows what that equals to be....lol. I know they don't pay there employees that kind of cheap wage. $30.00, so far divided by the 45 hours roughly= 66 cent per hour! Scab wage as far as I'm, corcerned.

Re: Lost Photos

Somehow Ebay has managed to "lose" even more of my listing photos recently. Still no compensation or help. Over 300 listings now have only 1 photo when originally had 12 (including crucial inventory location photo). Ebay, Do you have a caveman running your technical issues? Please get your **** together.
