Is there a glitch?
I start my listings on my laptop as usual, save them, then go to finish them By adding photos with my iPhone as usual,
but Now all the item specifics I previously filled in are now empty!
Whats going on ?
The go around I have found for this is to list the item from my laptop with
a generic photo, then revise the listing with my iPhone to upload the proper photos.
Please fix soon as this creates double the workload.

That's a good work around. I will try that. I list from desktop so I could just use any photo and then go back on phone like you did. Seems like a hassle but it's better than losing all the specifics. Hope they pay attention to the problem. It looks like we are not the only ones.

Thank you for posting this and the work around; I've lost so much time over the past few days rechecking and redoing all of my listings when I noticed the same thing. I list the exact same way- and as of today, 9/5- still an issue.:)

This issue just started for me today!!! I try to list at least 100 items a day and I don't have time for this mess.

I am still having this issue, checked step by step through the process to see when the glitch occurs.
1. I use my desktop to create my listing, usually editing an existing one, then save the draft. Reopened saved draft, item specifics remained as saved.
2. Having taken photos of the item using my mobile (IOS) device, I open the eBay app. Checked my saved draft, item specifics were still there. I then edited my draft by adding selected photos from my photo library.
3. Upon closing the add photos selection, checked my draft (still using the app) and now the item specifics were gone.
I don't know if this is an issue only affecting IOS devices, but it's becoming quite annoying and I hope that it is resolved quickly.

This has been happening for over a week now,
also be careful as it is dropping the "best offer" tag as well.

I've been having the issue for over a week too. It's costing me so much time. Does anyone that can fix these issues check the board? I wish someone from eBay would weigh in on these threads and tell us what is going on and if they are trying to fix the problem. Or not.

If folks that work for eBay are reading, they are not responding on this board, other than when asked to clarify a narrow policy issue, for the most part.
One notable exception to this: posts on the mobile app boards are often responded to by someone from eBay. So if this issue is linked to the app in any way, it might be worth posting about on one of these boards:

Yes this has been happening to me. I've spent ages putting in all of the item specifics - size, type, materials, washing instructions etc. etc. then when i come back later to resume draft the Item Specifics are ALL GONE!
The photos, selling preferences and description remains but it takes me longer to add all the specifics, so ...THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING EBAY! Why is this happening?

Gotta love how Ebay continues to ignore this glaring bug in thier supposedly "professional" system. So frustrating when you consider they charge you fees for this imperfect process.

Reported the issue and customer service stated that this was an issue that their tech teams "had resolved" but now appears to be back and would create a ticket for their technical support team. That was days ago and when I called for an ETA they said they are unable to provide one- but that I would get an email notification when it was resolved. Told them I do not care about getting an email notification, I want to know WHEN- clearly this has been going on for months! Absolutely ridiculous, thankfully I mostly sell clothes so will no longer list on eBay as there are plenty of other platforms. Will check back in a couple months to see if it's resolved- doubt it 🙄

The "bug" was never resolved to begin with. I was having it weeks ago when I started listing again.
I can't envision their fixing it either.

Same here, added photos and all of my item specifics including brand name are all gone : (

I've noticed the same issue for at least four or five days now. Beyond frustrating when you have to toggle back and forth between mobile and desktop several times just to keep the item specifics from disappearing and having to reenter them. I've also noticed that the chosen promoted listings checkbox & percentage do not transfer over from a desktop draft to mobile as well. Wonder if starting a new thread might get the devs attention since the OP of this issue was from almost a year ago???
