All of my store and auction item views changed to 0. My sales have also declined in the past few days. I just want to be sure that my listings are showing up properly. Thank you

I think we are all “down”; I haven’t had an order in 2 weeks. Prior to the pandemic, when biz was EXCELLENT, June was slow every year, but I think with high gas and food prices, rising inflation, not to mention news reports of pending recession, folks are feeling they have less disposable income, which hits us vintage people hard. It’s more the economy than anything else. It will come back, these things are cyclical. I’m using the slow time to work on inventory, thinking toward Christmas.

@jular_1409 Sadly, bad news sells and its all about advertising money spent by sponsors ... back in the days of newspapers and magazines it was referred to as "selling print" ... imagine how things would be if the News channels (ALL OF THEM) would broadcast more good news then bad?!?
Who knows, maybe those advertisers would see more sales because people felt more confident about things and were not living in fear of a total collapse of society ...
So, the fear mongering aside, Americans are adjusting by driving less or planning their regular trips better to cut down on miles driven and they are making sure they buy the food they NEED and cut out some of the stuff they WANT ... since many Americans are overweight that's not a bad thing.

just odd, that since the "bots" removed, i too have seen dramtic decrease to no sales or 1 or 2 weekly compared to 10 or more. too much of a coincidence, and the verbal traffic/feedback from other sellers seem to be saying the same thing. In addition, the views are going weekly from most at "0" and few at "1+" .... Just wondering if this is part of strategic plan to get more eBay listings to be posted with "promoted fees" for added revenue.

Wow! Am I glad to see other Ebayer's are having the same issue and it's not my imagination. Very coincidental with the new "view" reporting, our sales have plummeted. We were consistently selling 6-7 items/month: 8 in Mar., 8 in Apr., then the change, 4 in May, 1 in June, 0 in July! I hate it. Bots or not, they were an indicator of the interest level of our listings. They guided the types of items we listed more of. Now we get 0 to 1 view after weeks. I don't know exactly what they've done, but I suspect our listings are not being picked up and spread by other sites??

Nice Add here. Lots to be said about what Lincoln is mentioning here. Using a Proactive approach and watching your relisting on a daily basis could be key to keeping your products more visible.

I have not had a sale since May 8th - previous to that, and the eBay changes, I had consistent sales as a small boutique seller. It's almost impossible to not attribute this decline in sales (which is now zero) to the changes eBay made. I am ready to close my shop on eBay and move to another platform.

I suspect the same thing. I’ve noticed that my items that I relist, do not index to Google anymore. Google shows my items as no longer available, and that they ended on the date that I relisted them. Currently trying to fix this issue with a workaround where I no longer use the relist feature when items end, and use sell similar instead and create a new listing. Like everyone else here, the changes in the spring have caused my sales to plummet.

I am also one who is being affected by the change in views. My sales have dropped to almost $0 I list every day. 10 items or more. Before the change in May I was averageing almost $4k a month in sales with the exact same inventory categories. There is no other explanation for the change except ebay has done something to decrease the number of sales for certain users. I'm not sure why but something is up. Items sit for days / weeks with no views now. Popular name brand shoes (jordans) and various other items. I believe the bot views were helping drive items up in ebays algorithm giving them more exposure , thus eliminating the need for "promoted listings" . This has to be a ploy by ebay to generate more revenue. Its driving me away though. I cant keep going like this.

Yep why was this change necessary in the first place? If it's not broke don't fix it. Something isn't sitting right with me here 😠

Totally agree. Even if people weren’t really interested in the item, many would look just out of curiosity. I always had several views immediately after listing something. Maybe they’d drop off if the item became stale, but they were always there in the beginning. We’re still selling, but it seems a bit slower overall and I doubt it has anything to do with politics as I had a couple of great months in 2022 as well as in previous years.

Saw this coming the second the greedy pigs introduced Promoted Listings. Now the site is pay to win and your only chance of sales it hiking your ad rate to 10-20% per item, then you pay your fees, then your taxes. Just a classic method of scraping by now removed for no reason other than to make it a worse place for sellers. eBay HATES it's sellers. 300+ active listings at all times, 10+ new ones a day, relisting/sell similar only makes the listing EVEN DEADER. This isn't bot bulls***, this is intentionally planned obsolescence to get you to desperately hike your promoted ad rate up. Everyone suffers but eGoy.

EBay seems to not want you any Longer as a Seller unless you Promote, Offer Free Shipping and work off a 1% Gross Profit Margin. Sales are Down, Views are Down, Everything is Down unless you are Happy only making Money for EBay . It has 100% Nothing to do with the Price you set

I have had the same problem. From March 30 2023 to April 19 2023 zero sales. This has never happened to me.. I had a few sales at the end of the month and noticed all where from the East Coast.. This is not typical as 90% of my sales for the past 10 years have been from the West Coast. It feels like eBay has changed who sees my listings.. Its now May 2023 sales are still low and the few sales I have made, are again all from the East Coast...

Same with me..My store is down 42% since this new change. I also noticed they changed my viewing area. I used to get 90% of my sales from the west coast..Now 99% of my sales which are few are from the East coast.
