It's impossible to add an unavailable version of a product to the watch list

I'm looking for a specific color of a product which is currently sold out, other colors are available.

I would like to add the version I want to the watch list, but the only options available to add are the unwanted versions.
I still want to follow the desired product in case the shop is restocked.

Sorry but you can’t add something to your watch list that doesn’t exist.

If you can create a search that only finds the particular version you are looking for, you may be able to save the search and get an email alert from eBay when that version is listed again or is in stock again.
