Last night (Tuesday 11/25) I was able to list items without issue. The next morning, less than eight hours later, my listings error out with a problem regarding Immediate Payment. A quick check of the listing shows that the option is no longer available. I also went back into existing listings and do not see it as an option. None of my templates show this as an option and they all worked yesterday. There may be a common thread. Late last night I received an email through eBay. It was an offer on an item I had listed. As the item was set up not to accept offers, this was odd. The offer was ridiculously low and I ended up declining. To be clear, this was not an eBay offer that would have asked me to accept or decline, but it appeared to be a personal offer. I did not perform any more listings that evening and it wasn't until this morning I discovered that I couldn't list. I am now wondering if the individual who emailed me might somehow be altering my settings and causing these issues because I dared to decline their offer. Is this the trend that others are seeing? I thought I saw similar comments but am unsure. I do know there is an ticket open on this issue called Alert 16317. Looking for a fix as I can't even list an auction without getting this error.

There is a tech alert for this right now: ALERT16317
1) On your computer scroll down to the ? mark on the lower right and select report tech issue and then share the alert number and say briefly say what is happening. This is the best way to report tech issues to eBay and have your account added to the open ticket.
2) Also report your issue on this thread:
This solution works for some:
1) Open your draft listing on the website/browser/computer.
2) Scroll down to "See Pricing Options" and click that.
3) Turn ON (blue) the switch for Buy It Now
4) Turn ON (blue) the switch immediate payment
5) Verify that the check box for 'Require immediate payment..' is Unchecked.**
6) See if you can list your item now.
If you can't see the Immediate payment switch in the pricing options
6) Change from Auction to an Buy It Now (or vice versa), then repeat steps 3,4 and 5
7) Change back to Auction and see if you can list your item.
**If you use Business Policies, the Immediate Payment Required box will be in your Payment Policy
If you try this, please let me know if it works (or if it doesn't).

None of the suggestions to correct the issue worked for me. But luckily, the problem appeared to resolve itself on 11/26. I got up that morning and, as I have done for the past several days, attempted to list. Lo and behold the immediate payment option was back in the listing. I guess all the incense burning and prayer wheel spinning worked. Either that or the voodoo doll. Either way, I 'm happy things are back to ...would normal be the correct word? Cheers to all for your input.

Please try this:
Start your listing by the "Sell Similar" link on one of your own previously completed auctions from a week or more ago to start a new auction.

I started noticing this problem on my drafts and current listings yesterday.

I tried this, it didn't help.

Mine disappeared today (Dec 3) and I hope it comes back soon!

Yes, I tried both. The option isn't even showing up in older listings if I go through edit. Thanks for your help

I know it's frustrating.
Please be sure reported the issue and posted on that thread too.
It's the fastest way to get attention.

How did you get it back did you report it to eBay?
12-12-2025 07:31 AM
The work around did not work for me. Also the Ebay customer service contact I connected with could not help with the issue - She acknowledge that there is an issue -but the work arounds she suggested did not work. You would think Ebay would be on top of this issue which has been hitting different sellers since November as it delays Ebay getting paid.
