I was working on my sales for the day last night and in the middle of getting everything shipped I had to sign back into my ebay account, but it would not let me. It was kind of strange when I put in my password the enter button on my keyboard and would not work so I clicked on the Sign in button and it did nothing but change to a darker color. Anyone else having this trouble?

Thank you-your link worked for logging in with IE11 (which for me works everywhere else just fine-only issue is eBay.)
It works on Chrome as well-while I can get in using Chrome on the new log in page it crashes every time and takes mutiple attempts to do so.
Called and reported it for what it's worth.
Thanks again.

As an ex-information security professional.... don't use Internet Explorer.... Don't use it since 2011.
The most secure browser these days is allegedly Firefox... However, its features are slightly outdated IMHO.
I use Firefox, which I also consider to be a VERY safe browser, and I update regularly.
I can sign in to eBay initially just fine. However, I need to change some of my personal info. Once there, you have to sign in again for extra security purposes. Well...I CAN'T and its been a week.
Firefox is basically the modern incarnation of Netscape from the 90's. Yes, its very mature and fairly well vetted... I just think their UI needs a facelift and their javascript engine is very slow by modern standards and sadly, this is pretty much a requirement on all modern sites.
Do you use an adblocker, noscript, ghostery, or the like? Do you have settings set to reject 3rd party cookies?
You could try opening the firefox profile manager from the run box on windows:
firefox -ProfileManager
Create a new profile and try using that... if it works there is something in your profile or a setting that is interfering.
You could also try clearing the browser cache in the settings although last I knew this also cleared your browsing history which may or may not be an issue for you.
Just some general advice for any malfunctioning web app....

I am in Australia - but cannot log into eBay Australia.
I have tried several workarounds to sign in to eBay Australia using IE11, and none of them have worked -- eventually I always wind up facing the new sign in page, which apparently does not work with IE11.
The only way I have found to sign in is to use another browser.

I don't know about Australia but I have been getting 3 different sign in screens-they seem to rotate and I have been able to log in using IE11 on all of them on the US site, until this afternoon.
I can't help wonder if this is a glitch perhaps? Maybe someone can tag one of the Community Staff and ask? I tried but can't get a tag to stick for some reason.
I know come Jan I will need to have my WIN10 set up with Edge but was hoping I could use my WIN7 with IE11 until the end of the year. Maybe not idk.

I got some help with properly tagging and these were the names I was given.
Could one of you look into this issue please? I just got off the phone with an eBay Rep who was able to log in using IE11 no problem she said.
Would like to know if this is a glitch or not? Thank you!

At the moment I am still able to sign in to ebay.com using IE11 using the standard "Facebook" sign-in page that has both username and password on the same page.
eBay Australia seems to have a newer sign-in page -- I have to enter the username first, and then on a new page there is an entry for the password. After I enter the password using IE11, the page just hangs there. I can sign in using the old sign-in page, but if I try to do any account-related activity I am immediately sent to the new sign-in page again no matter what I do.
If you want to tag one of the eBay staff, just type an "@" symbol and then start typing the username until you can pick it out of the drop-down list. Not sure what that will accomplish in this case, though. Earlier this year when many IE users were unable to load the main ebay.com page the official word was that IE was still supported and everything was working as expected, despite the fact that the boards were filled with complaints.
If eBay staff say IE11 is still supported but you cannot actually get it to work, are you going to keep trying to use it for eBay?
If eBay staff say that IE11 is no longer supported but it still works for you, will you stop using it?
IE11 either works for you or it doesn't. If it doesn't, find something else that works.
Consider installing Firefox or Chrome or Opera or Avast browser and using one of those to sign in to eBay. You should be able to import all your bookmarks from IE11, and you can keep using IE11 for everything but eBay, if that is what you want.

Sounds like there are 4 log in pages now? I get either the old one (I got your link from), the one with FaceBook/Google on it and a new page with my User ID name already filled in (w/option to log into a different acct) and just asking for my password-I don't get the one that you said brings you to another page-yet anyways.
I already have Chrome installed I just don't like it. And I like to stick to a Microsoft browser as I have an acct with them and can get technical help 7 days a week. So if possible I will keep using IE until Dec then have my WIN10 ready to go Jan 1st and use Edge. I know I have options but I would like to know if this is just another glitch or not.
Thanks for the help tho!

I believe I have found a way to sign in to eBay Australia -- at least it works for me at the moment. It may work for other sites as well if you get stuck in a sign-in loop or if the sign-in page hangs for users of IE11 that cannot use another browser.
To make sure that I did not have any previously saved sign-in information stored, I deleted all IE11 cookies and history including "preferred sites" data to ensure that I was working from a clean slate, and not relying on any old data.
I went to ebay.com.au and tried to sign in using the link in the upper left. This sign-in form has a field for the username above Facebook or Google buttons, but none for the password. After entering my username and hitting continue, the page stopped responding.
I then deleted everything in the URL after the ".dll" and hit enter -- which loads the old sign-in page:
https://signin.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Signing in with username and password immediately results in a new sign-in page where the username is not changeable, but only has a password entry field. Trying to enter a password here has no result at all in IE11 for me. However, at that point, if I click on the ebay.com.au logo in the upper left, I am sent to the main page, and it appears that I am signed in. From there I can navigate to the My eBay page and view lists. I can view Account info, and even leave feedback, which typically requires an additional sign-in.
Still, if at all possible, you should try to use a different browser and not rely on IE11 unless you have absolutely no choice.

I am having the same problems. I can sign in using Firefox version 47 (which I believe is the latest version)
BUT I get a message from eBay that Firefox 47 is no longer supported and I should update my browser. But if 47 is the latest version then to what do I update my browser to?

What operating system are you using? Different operating systems have different requirements. For instance, if you are using Windows XP you should be able to use Firefox 52 ESR.

The following link is from ebay website on technical issues.

I use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. ( Always HAVE kept everything computer related updated).
I've done everything mentioned in that article and then some!!
Still continue to have MANY unresolved issues.
Thankfully I can log into my account, however not when trying to update my personnel infor. (I.E address, phone # etc.)
Guess I'll just have leave that info as is, and have it be wrong!!!
BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE IT!

Windows 8.1
I'll admit I am not one to jump on the latest, newest, gotta have version.
More often than not when I did do Windows updates it messed with my existing settings and I had to spend a lot of time redoing them, only to find that the newest version wasn't really all that different from the version I already had.
For example, I had an HTML program called First Choice. It worked fine until I upgraded to 8.1 then it didn't work at all.

I do not have much experience at all with Windows 8 or 8.1, but I believe that Firefox Quantum version 69 should work with that OS, though you may have extensions that may not work with the newer versions of Firefox.

If you want to experiment with a different version of Firefox without altering your current setup, you might be able to try installing Firefox Developer Edition, which installs alongside your standard release version and uses a separate path and profile.

I also stopped being able to login from the usual signin page on ebay using Explorer 11, but I am still able to get into my account from the Classic Page to view all my items and activity. I still have use firefox to do any actually changes though.
