I bought UPS shipping label in eBay for an order but eBay is showing that it hasn't been created

Strange - i received the order, bought the shipping label on eBay, shipped the item today and i just checked and the order is still showing up in "orders awaiting shipping".  

I tried entering the tracking number manually but it still doesn't show up.

Anyone else have this issue?

Same for me. Just happened this morning 13/3. Trying to call ebay to complain. Tired od waking up every morning to a new ebay glitch. This is out of control!

You'll have to call ebay support. They will fix the problem while you are on the phone with them.

Turns out UPS recycles tracking numbers.

Mine just happened to be one of them - i checked the tracking and sure enough there's shipping and delivery status from a previous use of the number as well.

So, there's no fix except to set the item as shipped.  Send the buyer a message indicating it was shipped and the tracking number along with it, and I'll have to go into the seller rating page afterwards and dispute the ding on my shipping performance.

Don't ship it. If you track the tracking #, I guarantee you it's a tracking # that has been used in the last few months.

Happened to us to, it was a recycled number.  So how is our customer to know where it is if he can't track it.  Hopefully it doesn't get lost and it's still insured!  Is this related to their new pay out system?  Never had this problem in the 8 years we've been selling on eBay.

Same  thing happened to me yesterday.   Somehow Ebay is using tracking numbers it should not for UPS.    The tracking number I got shows the package was delivered on 9/17, which UPS definitely should not re-use a tracking number that quickly, so either UPS is providing tracking numbers it should not, or ebay is somehow messing up getting them.

I did ship my package yesterday, because I was un-aware of the issue, and the package is moving in UPS ok at this point (reached the UPS central location) so hopefully it still gets to the customer.   I messaged the customer and gave them the tracking number just in case ebay did not provide it.    I called Ebay, and they said it was a known issue once I got past the first line of help.   I am top rated, so they said if it does show up as a strike, it can be removed and she gave me a case number to reference.
