How to temporarily deactivate account due to inability to stop the Ebay SPAM (promotions)?

I've so had it with Ebay.   COUNTLESS times I've checked my settings and there's nothing I can do to STOP the damned SPAM from Ebay.

I rarely buy here anymore, so I'll be happy to deactivate my account until I do buy again.

Thanks!

Here are my settings:

Are those emails regarding your Saved Searches?

Have you tried using the "Unsubscribe email" link on your Saved Searches page?

Is it retaliation for buying my new computer on Amazon?

At the bottom of your email there should be an ebay link to opt out of those types of spam emails. Do you see that?

That's what it was, SAVED searches.   Thing is, I don't remember saving them and you'd think Ebay could have a link to those in the emails.

Thank you so much!

Re: How to temporarily deactivate account due to inability to stop the Ebay SPAM (promotions)?

You are very welcome -- glad to hear that was it.

It was not until you posted the actual images that it occurred to me that the emails might be from saved searches, so it was good that you posted those.

I think eBay has changed the way saved searches work. If you use the eBay app, I believe that you can choose whether to receive emails explicitly when you save the search; but if you are using a browser, you have to actually go to your saved search page to change the setting -- receiving emails is the default, and you must opt out if you do not want to receive them.

eBay does send a lot of email messages, and I have my mailbox set up to send them all to a special folder, so I can usually ignore them all that way.

Thanks for the info!  I was wondering how that worked.

I also just noticed that I got emails from favorite sellers and those had a link to the settings.

I'd never been there before (only buy a few times a year on Ebay) and  I could not figure out how to change the subscriptions and ended up deleting them all.    I would have liked to keep a list of sellers I thought I'd check again when I need something, but just don't want the emails anymore.
