This notification bubble pops up next to the "Follow This Search" option obscuring half of the first seached item. Annoying and unnecessary feature - anyway of turning it off? We ALL know how to search and save searches at this point right?

This started at the same time my computer started freezing up on every search. Suspect a connection. I guess there is no hope that Ebay will fix it.
Somebody has too much time on their hands for dreaming up useless features.

I called Ebay. They did this on purpose as they believe it is an improvement. They are unaware of any dissatisfaction and said I am the only complainer about this. That means they don't look at these boards to see what is bothering Ebayers. The only way we might get rid of this would be if enough people call ebay and let them know we don't want this pop up window that annoys us and blocks parts of the screen we need. Maybe if they get enough calls they will do something.

I use AdBlockPlus. I have added a feature called "Element Hiding Helper". You can use this to permanently block garbage like the "not finding what you're looking for?" element, the "back to school" garbage at the top of the page, the ads from sponsored sellers above search results, etc. Highly recommended.

Not fixed here! That's why I searched about this issue today.
I just had enough so I blocked the element using AdBlockPlus.

It's also useful for hiding that lying shopping cart alert at the top of the page that always says you have unpaid items when you don't.

As others mentioned, Adblock Element Blocker for the win ! One of the best add-ons ever, saves me a lot of frustration on many websites.
