Can you break the infinite loop by opening a new tab, navigating to ebay.com, signing out and then signing back in?

yup Im logged in and when i go to leave feedback or when i relist an item ebay will ask me to sign in AGAIN!!! god i h8 it.

This just happened to me too, and I know I am still logged in because I just purchased something with no problems! Then I try to go catch up on feedback & I'm asked to sign in again....in short.....NO!
I have encountered this on other sites like facebook & this is how people are being hacked (by giving the password to whomever is intervening & asking for a re-login!) So I never log in when prompted...on other sites, I simply open a new tab & go to the site, & sure enough I am already logged in & I proceed. I am not willing to risk jeopardizing my ebay acct now just to leave feedback. If you are logged in, then you are logged in...if not, then you are not...there is no such thing as logged in but also not...that is a scam. The only time any site legitimately asks you to enter your password again when already logged in is in order to change personal info such as a password (in case someone has already hacked in and is attempting to change it.) The site has been rather glitchy since they changed their platform...used to be much more secure. ....and if there were ever a need to re-verify, it would be before a purchase....no? ....no problems making a purchase! ...whatever...

eBay started requiring login sometimes even when already logged in for functions like changing account settings, printing shipping labels, and other sensitive actions a long while back (and one of the blues said something about somewhere in here).

Why some users are required to login again when leaving feedback is unknown as that is a fairly mundane activity that doesn't involve financials or account settings, but the "need to login again behavior" seems to be different for different users (I rarely if ever have to login to eBay again to view my active listings or do most things, but it often makes me login again to print a shipping label if I've been away from the computer for a while and I don't think that is necessarily the case for other users)

This time it isn't hackerzez.

I think this requirement is rediculous. But I have a simple solution. I have been on eBay for years but if I just quit buying stuff on ebay I won't need to laave any feedback. It's getting pretty easy these days to find the same items elsewhere for about the same prices.

If you have eBay logged in for a long time the chances are the feedback etc. may have updated during this time and needs logging in again. If you log out of ebay and log in, all the links work. I kept ebay logged in permanently and see this issue, I log out often now and it synchronises as expected.

I guess a message would help explaining why you need to login.

Yes, it is what it is. and what it is is stupid and/or bad programming. Which you'd think a company the size of ebay, dedicated to online activity, would fix.

This has been going on for a while - all the messages on the forum and nothing from ebay. I won't leave feedback until I trust that I'm not giving my pw to some pop-up bot. I will complain to the sellers though. may be the only way - I'm not using MS browsers (Edge / explorer) either - Opera.

Not the only one. I also have to log in again if I want to contact a seller. sounds like demographics collection by a 3rd party to me.

Saw the answer on another persons comments. Go in and delete Ebay's cookies on your browser then log in to ebay. No more double log in required. Works just like it used to.
