Handling Fees Disappearing After Revising on ebay App

I add handling fees in an effort to offset the fact that ebay charges commissions on shipping fees.  The cell phone app seems to have no provision for putting handling fees on a listing, which is bad enough. But when I add them on the "big boy computer", if I go back to "revise your listing" on the cell phone app for any reason, or no reason (i.e. I change literally nothing), the handling fees disappear until and unless I get back onto regular ebay and re-add them later. I have inadvertantly forgotten about this quirk several times and come up short on shipping as a result.

I'm having the same issue with "best offer" disappearing as well. All my listings have best offer on them but if I go to the app and not change anything (just like you) and then go check the listing on my computer, best offer will have disappeared. It seems to me like the problem keeps shifting from one thing to the next. This same issue was happening with my shipping options, then it was my return options, then it was handling time, now it's this. I really wish we could have the old version of the app back because I never had these problems until they came up with this new version.

Handling fees are no longer allowed. Adjust the price of your item accordingly.

Do you mean restocking fees?

This is the same to me. But you are right. Restocking fee would be the correct term.

The Advanced listing flow does not have any separate option for 'handling fees'.

Any handling fee would need to be included in the shipping cost.

Now I'm really confused. Are we talking about the app? Is there some other Advanced listing flow on mobile?

Because there most certainly is a handling fee option on the Advanced listing flow I use in Firefox 31.

There is the point that no handling fee is possible or allowed anywhere when fixed shipping options are used - handling fees can only be applied to calculated shipping options (for fixed a separate handling fee doesn't make sense - just roll it into the flat shipping cost)

I use 'Flat' shipping, and do not use shipping discounts. That may be the reason for the disconnect.

Many options available on the online (desktop) listing flows are not present on the mobile App. I do not use the mobile app to list.

Here is an image of the Quick lister (that I believe is used by the mobile app). Switching to the Business tool (Advanced listing flow), may also have what you are seeing...

In a recent conversation, it was mentioned by eBay that there were 30 something different listing flows in play on eBay. This included, desktop (FileExchange, Turbo, Advanced and Quick listers), mobile apps, and MIP flows.

Shipping discounts have nothing to do with it, but the disconnect is what we both mentioned:

No handling fee options are offered with non-calculated (flat) shipping.

Doesn't matter what one of the 30 flows - that will be the same for all.

However, none of this relates to the OP's issue as OP said a handling fee was added when using "the big boy computer". That means OP has to be using calculated shipping, but that there is yet another bug (or intentional functionality omission) in the eBay app and no handling fee option is present.

Yes...to confirm I'm doing calculated shipping and adding a HANDLING fee (not restocking).
