Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

Several of my 'Good until cancelled' listings lost all photos today when the item's 30 days expired and was automatically relisted due to the nature of the listing.

The primary photo still shows up as a thumbnaiil when viewing 'mange active listings' page, but if you go to customer side it has no photos and says the seller didn't upload any.

If you click 'edit' to view the item revision page, the primary photo shows up but all additional photos have disappeared.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

Same here, hopefully eBay still has the pictures somewhere and can fix the listings back to the way they were supposed to be.  I don't have time to retake pictures for listings I already posted..... EBay's tech issues have been crazy lately, it's very frustrating.  No one is going to buy something they can't see.  In the meantime I manually cancelled my GTC listings that are ending soon.  I manually relisted them and they were fine.  Hopefully the lost pictures will show back up on the other listings....if not I'm going to be pretty upset.  A lot of time goes into taking pictures.

This issue was also reported on the seller board, and many sellers are effected. Absolutely no response so far from anyone from the Ebay teach checking the boards...

Hi @link32, I've been responding on another thread and wanted to confirm here as well that we are working with our tech teams at the moment to get this resolved. I've reported all impacted users who have posted to the Community Boards and if anything changes, don't hesitate to let me know!

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

Thanks, I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is worked out soon and that we all don't have to retake any pictures that we don't have backed up someplace!

The issue is still ongoing as of this posting.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

I'm having the same issue on some of my listings as well. It seems to be more than a handful of sellers. Most affected people probably don't know because you can't tell unless you view your listings.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

It really doesn't look like eBay is listening (or reading) or admitting that this is a site wide problem and it is massive. Most sellers that use GTC are probably still unaware. Are they really only looking at accounts of those that have posted on these threads? How stupid would it be to think that is the extent of the problem

All we are getting is the repeated looking into it blather. Kinda like a little pat on our pointy little heads. No update on progress.

Heck, no announcement that there is a problem.

At least 36 hours and counting.

Horrible.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

Everyone. If you know you are having this problem there is one solution for those listings that are ending today that have not yet relisted.

End them BEFORE they expire and relist from unsolds. The pictures will still be there.

Do not do that with those that have already relisted without pics. Those pics are gone.

I have it a little better than so many of you. I just don't have the quantity of listings being affected that some do and my active listings are saved in Turbo. For those of my listings that did relist with no pictures I was able to end those and upload the listings again from turbo. I still had plenty of "free" listings to use.

Again, not something everyone can use as a work around .

But those that can

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

All gtc listings that are renewing are loosing photos. The cycle is endless. Basically we will loose all our photos if this does not stop. eBay does not have any answers. So far over 500 listings without photos. No answers from eBay.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

This is a known issue and eBay says they are working on it.

Here is the workaround that you can do for individual listings or in bulk for ALL your listings (if you don't want to waste time trying to find the affected listings:

For one listing - Click Revise, then submit. You don't have to make any changes.

For all listings - Check the box above the individual checkboxes to the left of your active listings to select all. Click Edit. Again here, no edits are necessary. On the Bulk Edit page, click Submit changes, then Confirm and Submit, then OK. Your photos will be restored.

Meanwhile, eBay encourages all members affected by this bug to call and report it. Click Call us at the bottom of this page:

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

The only reason I figured this out was because I was moving my listings to another site!

Lost over 200 of my Good Til Cancelled listing photos.

Called customer service, was on hold for 29 minutes, and was told this was a "known issue". Gee, thanks for letting us sellers know.

Been selling for 14 years on Ebay, full time, but their treatment of the sellers has become unbearable with the addition of all the glitches, no communication, no apologies....

They are getting less and less of my business, because I'm taking it elsewhere.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

I've been selling here for over 20 years. I sell around $200k per year and it is time to start looking for other options. I would say that eBay solves problems I call about maybe 5% of the time, and that's being generous. Endless technical issues that they NEVER proactively inform sellers of. Always siding with buyers in cases, no mater what, under the most ridiculous of circumstances, no matter what clear proof is provided by the seller. Tell sellers anything just to get them off of the phone, even if it clearly contradicts what that seller has already been told by eBay representatives. Making constant changes to the functionality of rules of eBay that only negatively affect sellers.

They use to be just fine, but based on the past few years of experience, they clearly have a policy of not caring about anything seller-related.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

Same thing here. So far affected all 90% of my listings that relisted since mid month June 2018. Hopefilly won't continue my additional photos are verty important for sales and would take me about 200 hundred hours to redue.

Re: Good until cancelled photo bug upon refresh

In the Weekly Chat from Wednesday, Bob Kupbens stated that eBay was working on restoring the lost photos, but there have been no further updates from eBay that I have seen.
