When I do a search, sometimes at the bottom, all the page numbers are gone to go to the next page. I'm using the default search configuration, 50 items per page but can't get past the first page. Refresh and it works a couple times and then page numbers disappear again. Also sometimes the refine tabs do not work, no drop down for item condition, etc. Does the same on different computers and different version of Chrome. Is this a Ebay problem or browser problem?

Glad to hear the /dsc/ search is working for you.
I do not know why eBay has two different searches or what the distinction between them is. Or why some searches wind up with one format and some with the other.
If you are having difficulty getting a /dsc/ search on one device, try a simple test search. If you get an /sch/ search URL, manually edit the URL to be a /dsc/ search, hit enter to load the page and then bookmark the new search results page.
If you use the bookmarked search as the basis for further searches, they should remain as the same type of search. Then you can try adding your various filters and keywords.

I am having the same problems unable to access second page of searches in EBAY motors. Changing /sch/ to /dsc/ seems to make the search work, but how can I make the change in my saved searches? I have changed the search terms, then tell EBAY to save the search and the search comes back as /sch/. Do I have to manually change the search term every time I do a different search? EBAY this is a royal pain that has started to happen in the last week.

I have been using bookmarks to keep track of my searches, which gives me more control over the exact format of the search.
I tried to modify a previously saved search and save the old /sch/ search as a /dsc/ search, and it appears to have reverted to the older problematic /sch/ search. In fact, most of the saved searches on my list are /sch/ style searches -- but not all of them. Not sure why some are and not others. I am not entirely sure if there is a way to save the searches and be assured that they will not revert to the old format.
It might be a good idea to bookmark your searches using the /dsc/ search format, at least the ones where you are having problems reaching further pages or using filters.
It may be that eBay will correct this problem at some point so that the old searches work correctly again, but I have no idea how long that might ultimately take.

I have very few blocked seller and do not use the price thing. I am using Firefox and do not think that is the issue. I had to work at it to get a saved working search to my bookmarks and have it stay in eBay motors not go back to general eBay all items search. I look at Ford Model T parts, used, so the count that it shows in the header is very close to actual count. I would say that 99.9+% are one only items on the search I do. On one of the Model T forums I post on, trying to help someone there with same issue. In fact a link to this posting was brought up. This is a glitch that just started this weekend as far as I can see. I try and keep up with new listings and every so often look at ending soonest to see if I have missed anything. So without the drop down MIA hard to do that without re-doing everything.
I am posting this as a general reply to the whole string, not any one person.

Unfortunately the /sch/ to /dsc/ trick does not work on ebay.co.uk -- /dsc/ searches do not work there.
It is possible to change an ebay.co.uk/sch/ search into an ebay.com/dsc/ search, but it would require signing in to the US site, and entering your shipping address to calculate shipping charges. The UK-only search would become a US-only search (that can be fixed by going to the Advanced Search page and choosing to search by country), and of course all prices would be converted to dollars, so your price range would have to be changed. Here is how your search would look before changing the address and price range:
That might be worthwhile if you only have a couple of searches to change, or you want to use that search as the basis for further new searches.

changing dsc worked, but I have to do that everytime? I didn't have to do that before.
It isn't a browser issue. Might be an OS issue.
It is doing it on my MAC for all browsers (Chrome, safari, Firefox) but when I try on Windows PC it works.

Bookmark one of your /dsc/ search results pages, and then start with that bookmark when you want to search. At least until eBay addresses the issue.
It appears to be a problem at eBay's end that started recently. Not every search seems to have the problem; there seem to be some combinations of filters and numbers of keywords or results that can cause things to fail.
