Ebay labels defaulting to Priority Mail now?

This is not a shipping issue.  This has nothing to do with shipping and returns.  This is a seller issue. 

While i was packing orders last night, i noticed that when printing a label, items that would usually default to First Class Mail were now defaulting to Priority Mail. I had to manually click First Class Mail.  These were all items weighing less than a pound.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Same for me. Had a 3oz first class default to FedEx overnight which I caught. Several others also. On each one I rate 1 star to ebay for their label process.

Thanks for your posting. It's helping to maintain the focus on a problem that appears to be affecting lots of sellers.

I don't know if my issue is related or not, but it's in the ballpark:

I used to be able to specify eBay International Standard delivery and then change to USPS 1st Class International when I printed the shipping label, even though I had not included that as an option in the listing. USPS 1st Class International is more expensive, but faster, so I consider it an upgrade. I would do it only for Delcon countries, which track USPS 1st Class all the way to the buyer's address. It was an easy way to accomplish the same thing I used to do with Shipping Rate Tables (which are a good idea but poorly implemented).

On my last sale that option went away on the eBay shipping app - there was no way to print anything but eBay International Standard (after all, that's the only option I had included in the listing, but this was still a change from the previous functionality). So now I go to Paypal to ship for cases like this.

Mine was Defaulting to FEDEX for 1 week, now it is defaulting to Priority Mail. We need an option to choose which one we it to default to. 🤓

Completely agree - eBay has again BLOWN IT by making unannounced changes to page formats and structure, AND re-sequencing and defaulting the shipping method AWAY FROM CUSTOMER SELECTED to Priority Mail.

WHY will eBay not discuss this openly with sellers BEFORE making a change - or at least let us know prior to instituting the change???

At Least we can get a refund, i accidently bought a Priority Mail label bc im used to defaulting to first class and i was panicking bc im kinda new to this platform lol
