Ebay Summer 2018 view counter not working - views not showing - dashes instead

For about 2 days in a row now, there has been this intermittent problem on Ebay under active listings. It seems to depend on the time of day. The view counter is not showing view numbers on most listings. Instead it shows dashes. Before this problem, there was also another intermittent problem where the view count would show up as zeros instead of dashes. Something is definitely wrong with the view counter and I ask eBay to please fix it since this is a very annoying issue. It is impossible to tell how a listing is doing without the view count. Please respond if you are also experiencing the same problem.

Seller hub is actually very bad but seems they want to force people to use it this way. Answer i got from customer service was that i should not use the classic view as is broken and getting fixed but in seller hub all is ok. Actually nothing is ok as a lot of my listings can't even be found when you search in search engines, even if you search with the exact title. They are ghost listings. So who cares about counters if you can't get views anyway....

It is July 11 and the problem is still here. Three (3) days ago I asked for a supervisor callback...IT DID NOT HAPPEN. Can't fix it in 19 days ???? How long does Ebay think We will put up with being ignored. Typical of Ebay's CUSTOMER NON SERVICE. WHat a joke.

Replying to topic in general.

I find that if I click back and forth, from selling to buying, to watch list, even community, We Can see view count.

Sometimes it shows right away, sometimes it takes several tries.

Our big problem now, is there are very few views on items listed 3 days ago.

( I count about 7 views on 30+ items)

We don't know if this is correct or not.

Did someone say ebay was fun?

I don't even want to try to list.

Without a correct view count, we don't know if items need a cleanup on the listing (price, category, photos) or whether it's not worth listing at all.

Very disturbed by this. 

Just can't keep wasting time.

AMEN! No views means no sales means no reason to list here. My sell through rate has declined from 25% a few years ago to under 3% this past year and that doesn't include the returns and scams on the buyer side which have sky rocketed the past couple of years. The ratio of headaches to positive transactions has reached a critical point where I am tweetering on the brink of staying on ebay or leaving altogether. Sales have declined and stress has increased! Earth to eBay! Earth to eBay! All these changes the past few years are driving members of the community off your website. We are long past due for a "back to the future" campaign wherein eBay undoes all its ridiculous changes of the past few years. There was no need to fix that which wasn't broken to begin with.

Im having the same problem.  Noy only are my views mising or 0, they are not being seen by buyers.  I have several listings that will not appear when I put the exact titles into the search engine.  These are items that always get alot of traffic but are almost getting none.  I think people only find them when they see what other items I have for sale.  I have tried to relist, and that has helped some......  I noticed that when I go search for and item, that results only are partial.  I get about half of the things I was looking for,  the rest are things that are related possibly, but not what I typed into the search engine.  I can only surmise that this is happening site wide.  No wonder sales are down buyers cant even find the items they are searching for.    Ebay is broke.   No matter what  you use, sellers hub, active ebay, classic view, etc. results are the same.   

The views on my items varies between, the Active ebay view and the classic view.  So there is no way to know which is correct, if any.  This is a very serious problem.  It needs to be fixed, like yesterday.

Ebay fix this problem.   Roll back what ever it is you did in May that started all this Chaos.

I called eBay 3 times  and they have not bothered to return any of my calls for help with this view problem -Very Frustrating!!!

wow you didnt even read my post RIGHT ABOVE YOURS giving an answer to this problem. 
not sure why most people cant even bother to read other peoples posts on here before just posting...
google ebay seller hub and click on the link and join the new ebay seller hub and you will be able too see your views again. the new seller layout sucks, but views are there. they are down, but they are there.

dude stop trying to still pretend they care about you as a seller. how many times do i have to say it, ebay does not care about sellers at all.
stop wasting your time calling, seriously.
just join the new selelr hub so you can see your views again and leave it at that.
there's nothing you can do , and it probably wont ever be fixed again.

It looks like ebay will have to go offline in able to fix the problem.

I think thats why problems are getting worse.

Its a great service and  think it could be a simple fix with all the  skilled staff they have.

1.  I’m responding to all as well, but I thought I would add to yours for sure. I’ve had the viewing problems. It’s nice to know if it is a new product how many views it gets before I buy many more of them.

2. A couple days ago I started searching for my most valuable products and only on the Ebay App (which most use and it’s encouraged by eBay to use), they do NOT show up at all. I spoke to the distributor and they said they are getting many complaints about eBay’s a mess. In 3 days’ time, between searching, confused, trying every way possible, changing titles, etc., about 12-14 hours. 

3. My sales have been terrible for over two months. Huge difference. Wondering why? 

4. I also got hit with a bill way out of control, which took a lot of time to deal with them to get that straight. 3-4 hours. 

5. Very poor customer service and ridiculous suggestions that has absolutely nothing about why I’m calling. They say, okay let me know we have this right. . . NO! Repeat x3-4.

6. I was sent a message from them about 2 weeks ago wanting to know if they could help since they have noticed my sales have been nil. 

7. Right on to the person speaking of having a store to fall back on. I find it a lot easier to list my products and a whole lot cheaper, as well as no BIG fees.

I have liked selling on eBay and you hate to change to what you get use to, but I’m spending more time lately tweaking my own store. It’s worth it to sell on a platform because your sales “should be” faster, but with all the problems it is showing me right now it’s a whole lot faster than this and far better way of time spent.

I am going to keep my faith that they are going to get this fixed.  If not, then they are going to lose some very good sellers to their own successful stores and that means buyers as well.

I am with you who wrote that thy néed to tell us the truth so we can at least understand and work towards those goals. I hope eBay sees this and responds. Good luck everyone.

Same problem here in the UK and Ireland the last couple of weeks and despite what ebay customer service tell you its definitely affecting sales.
