Ebay Summer 2018 view counter not working - views not showing - dashes instead

For about 2 days in a row now, there has been this intermittent problem on Ebay under active listings. It seems to depend on the time of day. The view counter is not showing view numbers on most listings. Instead it shows dashes. Before this problem, there was also another intermittent problem where the view count would show up as zeros instead of dashes. Something is definitely wrong with the view counter and I ask eBay to please fix it since this is a very annoying issue. It is impossible to tell how a listing is doing without the view count. Please respond if you are also experiencing the same problem.

This is day 8 of 'views' not just showing "--" but not updating since June 18. If I refresh 3 to 10 times it will eventually show numbers, but none have updated or changed in 8 days!

Also this new default feature "Make An Offer" garbage, if I want to add MAO on my listing I will add it, as it is now even if I uncheck the default, view the listing, it still adds MAO when listed. I have to manually revise EVERY FLIPPING LISTING and remove it, sometimes more than once, like my time is worth nothing!

If these issues don't get resolved very soon I am going to move my listings to other platforms.

This has been happening to me for almost 5 days now. I contacted eBay and they said a ticket was already opened and would add my name to it. However, there did not seem to be any urgency on their part in wanting to fix this issue. In reading the other comments, I have the same issue where all of my listings either show  views as "--" or '0." When I hit refresh, SOMETIMES I may see the views on 'some' but not all. When I hit refresh again, it defaults back to "--". While I KNOW views don't mean anything in our seller world, it gives me peace of mind that my items are getting looked at. Also, I even see 1 watcher on a few items, but views are 0, which is not accurate either. How can you have a watcher without a view? LOL . As you all are aware, views and watches don't mean a darn thing. Most of my sales have been from 0 views/0 watchers...the register just goes 'cha ching' 🙂

I put a message on the FB website asking for anyone from Corporate to make a statement about these issues publically, so all members would be assured that the company was responsive to the wants/needs of its members.  I am hoping that Mr. Wenig and his cohorts would have the courtesy to respond.   We'll see.........

I want to clarify that the view/watcher count this is a display issue and this is not affecting the data used to calculate your impressions. Thanks for your feedback. I found a great place within the Performance Area you recommended, called the "Review Performance Area" where it reports views as well as many other different statistics relating to your listings. Thank you very much for your help. We have to find ways to get around the eBay glitches that seem to constantly be occurring.

Yup, same problem for about a week now - and can't find any way to contact them directly to complain!

The bottom icon will create message for them to read. You can find that on most pages in MyeBay and the SellerHub. Or...

I'm having the same problem , waiting for eBay to fix it. looked like it was fixed for a few hours but started up again. switching browsers doesn't work. refreshing doesn't work. definitely coming from the eBay's back end.

I am experiencing the same problem. I track this information and it is important to me. I came to the community forum to see if others were experiencing the problem. Yes, eBay, see what you can do to fix this problem.

I have the same problem and use the views to decide whether to relist, lower price etc. it's important. It's been gone for 2 days.

Same problem here for more than a week.  It doesn't matter where I view them , I still get dashes for the views.

My view counter has also not been working...it's been about a week now. It is EXTREMELY frustrating! I have called twice about the issue and was told that they have been working on it. 

I am also very frustrated with the low amount of sales. I've been a Top Seller for 19 years and have never experienced the low sales as I have been for the past year!
