elizabeth@ebay
I started a thread on the Selling board yesterday on this issue, you can read through that thread here:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Sales-Down-Recently-Maybe-Part-Reason/m-p/33917247#M2257276
The Issue: I sell in Music > Vinyl Records. When I type in Band / Album Title into ebay search for past few days when I go to the Left Navigation options and toggle/click "Vinyl Records" every single time brings me to the Ebay Error Message Page, this is the same result for all options under "Show More" - CD's, Vinyl records, any option for that category. (pics below). Make a thread on Seller board and other reported they get the same in other categories, Books was one of them. I made a tag to Kyle and he replied this morn and said there were no reports of the issue. But others I know had called and had tickets made.
The issue is site wide for many many categories, not just music category. Sales are WAY DOWN past 2 weeks. First issue was with Promoted Listings 2 weeks ago, they fixed that since sales are still bad. Come to find the search isn't working when you search and toggle options. This can be huge part in lack of sales. If people cannot search and toggle options for what they want and keep getting error message (show below) they won't buy anything and just leave.
I called and made a ticket today, if anything comes of that idk, the way ebay reps handle tickets anymore it's all a guess if they actually file a ticket.

Same problem here for music.....but only if I start the search from the Seller Hub Overview page, and then click on Records or CDs etc.
If I start from other pages there's no problem. So far I've tested Seller Hub Orders, Listings Payments, Wish List, and Ebay home page.
Look at the web addresses after these searches, from the listed starting page:
seller hub overview
https://www.ebay.com/sch?_from=R40&_trksid=p2323012.m570.l1313&_nkw=tom+petty+echo&_sacat=0
seller hub orders
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2303516.m570.l1313&_nkw=tom+petty+echo&_sacat=0
seller hub listings
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380680.m570.l1313&_nkw=tom+petty+echo&_sacat=0
seller hub payments
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2564123.m570.l1313&_nkw=tom+petty+echo&_sacat=0
ebay home page
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p4432023.m570.l1313&_nkw=tom+petty+echo&_sacat=0
Wish List
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2505460.m570.l1313&_nkw=tom+petty+echo&_sacat=0
The seller hub overview gives a slightly different address (After "sch" and before "from"), which is probably the problem.
It leaves off the "/i.html". Probably just a coding typo, and could be fixed by adding that back in for the seller hub overview page.
If you have the problem leave what page you're starting your search from, and if the error is happening on other different starting points.

Yep, I followed your steps and have the same results as you described. It does seem to be an issue when starting a search from the Seller Hub Overview page.

I was wondering about this also for the past few days. Another mess, no sales again. What's going on!

@tx-shopping thanks for this info - I was able to replicate what you've found here as well and can confirm if you manually add the "/i.html" where it should go in the Seller Hub Overview link, the error goes away.
kyle@ebay can you get this to the appropriate team please? It appears the link that is created when searching starting from the search bar on the Seller Hub Overview page has a coding error.

I haven't had time to check myself yet...getting there, just got home and in office a bit ago and I had a title I started for listing today this morning I had to finish.. now I must go get something to eat...check it out soon.

If anybody can, please check out my post here:
WE LOOKED EVERYWHERE LOOKS LIKE THIS PAGE IS MISSING
and see if you can replicate this other way I'm getting the "WE LOOKED EVERYWHERE. LOOKS LIKE THIS PAGE IS MISSING" message. This one includes the added bonus of all of eBay not working for up to 10 minutes before it starts working again.
Thanks!

There is definitely a glitch. I got that same message today when I clicked 'Antiquarian' sub-category under Books. My sales are way down this month & it has to be search engine glitches, because my sales are steady month to month. I posted today on this Community Board. eBay must know about it - must be happening to sellers and buyers. Sellers complain, buyers simply go somewhere else. You would think eBay would fix it promptly since they get a percentage of our sales.

It's been happening to me since last week. Great, the lousy no sales continues
08-24-2023 04:18 PM
the errors are still relevant to using search via your seller hub, if use it at site homepage it doesn't do it...been my experience since was mentioned earlier in the thread.

Lousy is correct - my sales are down 50%.

Thank you. I did see that and it works if I do the search from 'my ebay' page. Because sales are so slow, I wonder whether there are glitches in the search engine for buyers? Last year August was one of my best months.

Yes, I am still seeing this issue. If I start a search from the Seller Hub overview page and then use the left-hand filters I get this

Do you have any insight on why this is still occurring?

Yeah, that's the page I got. It is supposed to be "cute" - photo & text, but it's just frustrating!
08-24-2023 08:05 PM
I have a question. Are buyers having trouble with searches? Are there other search glitches? As sellers, we report issues, but most buyers probably just leave after sighing in frustration.
