EBAYS TRACKING PAGES HACKED? LOADING FROM UNAUTHORIZED SOURCES EBAY DENIES ANY PROBLEM

I NEED HELP, PLEASE. WHEN I WENT TO LOAD TRACKING NUMBERS YESTERDAY (TUES 11/13/18), I HAD A RED TRIANGLE WITH AN EXCLAMATION POINT IN THE ADDRESS BAR. I ALSO HAD ANOTHER ONE AT THE END OF THE ADDRESS BAR WHICH READ " THIS PAGE IS TRYING TO LOAD UNUATHORIZED SOURCES". ADDITIONALLY, WHEN I GO ONTO THIS PAGE TO LOAD TRACKING, THE "HTTPS"  IS CROSSED OUT & THERE APPEARS THIS OTHER NAME  AS FOLLOWS "www.gstrkui.ebay.com" THEN THE REST OF THE ADDRESS. WE HAVE CHECKED MY ACCOUNT ON MULTIPLE COMPUTERS & THIS IS STILL HAPPENNING. WHEN I SPOKE WITH EBAY, THEY STATED THAT THEY "COULD NOT SEE THE PROBLEM". MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN CHECKED BY A PRO WHO KNOWS WHAT TO LOOK FOR. HE STATED THAT I HAVE NO VIRUS/MALWARE, ETC., PROBLEMS. WHEN WE GOOGLED THIS "IP" ADDRESS, IT CAME UP FROM ABOUT A YEARS AGO OR SO. HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS HAPPEN? IT'S ONLY OCCURRING ON THE TRACKING PAGE. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT!!!!!!

You are probably using Chrome browser, and it's going overboard on warning about what is likely a minor mistake on eBay's part where a script is referenced with an HTTP protocol instead off HTTPS.

I'd assume http://www.gstrkui.ebay.com/ is a new eBay tracking subdomain and not malicious. The new eBay label flow is using a new subdomain along the lines of https://gslblui.ebay.com/gslblui/....

GS LBL UI -- "Gnarly Shipping " "Label" "User Interface"

I have no idea what the GS really stands for, and I don't see the new tracking interface anywhere I look (I get the old https://shiptrack.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewShipmentTrackingDetails.... type URL and interface everywhere I looked. Wonder if it's from the new Seller Hub orders page? I'm on the old one)

I wouldn't worry about it - your browser is just being overly picky. Not saying the warning is wrong in an ideal world where every possible exploit should be defended against, even ridiculously unlikely ones, but the current internet is not an ideal world, and Chrome is going too far and causing these non-issues. IMNSHO

Probably something minor eBay should fix. I'll ping them if I can get a look at the page somehow (maybe you could PM the full http://www.gstrkui.ebay.com/... URL so I can modify it for one of my items and see if I can get it to load)

If using a different browser allows you to print your labels, that would tend to indicate that the issue is browser-related.

If you have the same issue with multiple browsers, that would tend to indicate a problem with eBay.

Yes that is a legitimate eBay URL - it is the new eBay label flow, and that is a specific URL for printing a label for one of your sales

(I can't do anything with it because the sale doesn't belong to me - I get a "This Order doesn't belong to the user. Please enter correct information." error message as expected since label printing for a specific transaction is tied to a specific seller account)


What EXACTLY is your problem when you try to load that URL? How can you "not print out any shipping labels"? eBay Error messages? Browser warning? What browser(s) have you tried?

I get a cant find page error message when I try to load it or search for it in a search engine. Perhaps try clearing your browsers data. IF it is truly a old outdated page that has been removed that may help.

Also using a win 10 pc with edge as the browser I am able to check the tracking on sold items with the hub and old seller page along with tracking on purchased items and with chrome I had no issues. I have noticed issues with the seller hub and old seller page loading slow or not loading at all. Usually they are running updates on their server when this happens on the weekend. If servers are down or a limited number of servers are available and getting over loaded your browser may be trying to use older bad links as a last ditch effort to get through. Once again try clearing your browsers data so see if that helps.

Also MacAfee live safe not only protects you from virus and malware in live time but also periodically will clean your old browser data. When I switched to them I stopped having to do this for weird ebay issues as it was already being down regularly for me.

I got the same today 6/21/2020 thus here I am trying to see if this is a legit Ebay page. But seems only guy with a lot of emphasis is telling everyone to go ahead as biz as usual.  ?????
