Hi,
So, I am trying hard to keep records ,THE OLD FASHION WAY BY PEN because E-bay has a glitch and items are not being deleted, even after being manually removed. I though the reason we use computers was to keep it easy for the user, not so at all on E-bay. I removed, the item that already sold manually, so problem solved, no.... it came back in the following month. All i can say is E-bay is so busy telling us to lower our prices and demanding excellent, with low prices and free shipping, lol they can't keep there site working correctly. This is costing me so much time and work, have to look and try to remember 1,000's of items and truth be told i just can't keep track. Now just called for the seventh time and the Rep took over 20 minutes before she would admit there is a problem with the site, lol. All she said was she was going to write up a ticket, meanwhile, I keep selling items I don't have anymore. I'm going nuts and then they will lower my ratings that i work so hard to keep. Anyone else going crazy, by the way, this has been going on for almost a year. HELP

Lol yes I have had that happen a few times. I told my husband I could not figure how how some items were getting listed after they sold. I was lucky enough to be able to replace the items. I am so glad to know I wasn't losing my mind! 🤣

I'm not a seller, but have been experiencing numerous Technical Issues since the first week of February, which have resulted in many problems for me as a Buyer. I see many sellers posting similar concerns, re. many recent Technical Issues since early February.
I'm also seeing some who are reporting eBay to the Better Business Bureau, which I also may do (for another concern I have). I would suggest that you post more here at Community Boards, escalate this to eBay Corporate, and contact your State AG's Consumer Protection Division (if you're losing money due to this and eBay is not responsive).

This is probably not related to your issue but their bulk editing tool has problems with deleting listings and duplicating listings when relisting in bulk. I had items that started popping again after they sold then other item I noticed had duplicates. Their support refused to address the issue and admit it was possible. They kept insisting that I had to have created the duplicate listings my self despite their system blocks me from using the same picture on multiple listings. Then after getting fed up I checked all 500 of my items. I found items had been deleted and others were duplicated. I even had items listed that were not in my inventory so at some time those items were duplicated and 1 of the 2 sold. The funny thing was I commented in the community to a a user with a similar problem. Even though their phone support will not admit there is a issue with the bulk editing tool I got a call from a ebay tier 2 support rep who took the info I had and examples of this happening. They even had created a website to search current listings and show items with similar pictures and tittles to help catch this. Yet it is hush hush and not disclosed to all users. On top of all this I also noticed the bulk editing tool was deleting item specifics. Since then I do not use the bulk editing tool for relisting items and a lot of these problems have gone away.
I would suggest not using the bulk editing tool to see if some of your issues go away. Also even though I checked my items and compared each item physically in my inventory to active listings because of problems I noticed I still do this 1 or 2 times a year and it is a good practice if you have a large number of items listed through out the year.
At times things can get deleted or relisted by mistake so it does not hurt to check your inventory so that items do not sit on the shelf not listed when you think they are or worst they sell and you do not have the item to ship to the buyer.

This has been happening for a couple years now.
I had a couple sold items that got relisted, but lucky I seen them before selling again.
Seems like the site is having a lot of glitches lately.
I try to go through my listings a couple times a week and see if anything looks odd.

I just got hit with the duplicate bug and sold an item I had already sold. I wasn't aware that the bulk listing tool may be the culprit. From now on I am running all my listings through this after I relist.

I don't have that many to manage now since I downgraded to a starter store but when the lots are of similar items just different numbers it's a pain to look through manually.

OMG,
Thank you to all who answered me, I thought I was going crazy. So today, I sold a two pc lot of jeans, it' was a single item. Then I found it up again, I just pulled down all my listing with variations, I'm to scared that it will sell again. I don't understand how to stop it, can someone explain it in simple terms to me. I'm not that great with all the e-bay tools.
Ya know what bothers me the most, the reps. know it's happening and they aren't even honest about it. They told me it was all me or I thought they were doing it just to my listing to be spiteful because I'm loosing my cool with them because there is never an honest answer with e-bay. Now my sales are down because I spend most of my day double cking my listings and even after cking them, I find another that shouldn't be there, they dropped me below standard after 13 yrs of 99.9 positive feedback. This is emotional abuse, it just makes me feel better that I'm not alone.

As mentioned above, use this tool regularly to catch any duplicates - http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/DuplicateListings.htm
