This is a request from a seller to the people who do the programming for eBay. I only hope that somehow in this digital world it reaches the right party, but then again, I was hoping to win the lottery last night too....
Developers...I am old, and I don’t like change. I find a way to make something work, and go with it. Now, when you stick your nose into my business I get angry. You don’t need to know whether I am a professional seller, you don’t need to ask me if I am ready to Ship, you don’t need to remind me If I have a problem to solve. I don’t need your suggestions; I don’t want your analysis. Maybe some do. Great. Let them OPT IN to the new format. Seriously, the next thing you are going to remind me to do is go to the bathroom. PLEASE, spend your time beta testing a new layout, before you slam it down our throats. Check with seasoned sellers, both large and small, to get their input before you implement some type of change. Lastly, don’t we all know by now that we MAY increase our sales by 11% if we offer free shipping? Some of us drank that Kool Aid, most of us just chuckled.
And before I go on my rant, please keep something in mind...THE SELLERS PAY YOUR SALARIES. No Sellers, no buyers, no FVF, no income, and then eBay will go the way of Blockbuster Video. (Sorry Alaska!)
I WASTED an hour of my life this morning talking to Customer Service wanting the old classic look back. After all, on the stupid little box on the right hand of my screen, it says contact Customer Service. I did. I would have a better chance having my dog learn to use the toilet, than having the Customer Service Unit understand my concern. And yes, you may put me a brief hold for 2 minutes while you research this issue...So please, accommodate this sellers request. Switch me back to the Classic View. Please.
Now for those programmers that want to earn their keep, (Yes I laughed when I typed that) here are a few suggestions....
First, no matter what platform a buyer is using, mobile or desktop, LET THEM REQUEST A TOTAL FROM THE SELLER. I have been addressing that issue for over one and one half YEARS, and still no action.
Second, How about you address verify a buyer? Oh, and Puerto Rico is NOT a country, and though they don’t like it I am sure, they are in the United States.
Lastly, why should it make a difference what browser I am using? Your site should work on Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.
EBay was a great site for some of us to make some spare change. Maybe even make a living, but if you keep making changes that don’t directly benefit the seller, greater people will leave, and those who think eBay is so simple will become too confused and instead settle for less and go to an alternative site.
You have my user ID. Feel free to contact me. I won’t hold my breath.

Next time you are in Chicago, I owe you a beer! I looked at the link you provided, and it seems that many in the UK liked some new page, but switched back to the old, and now they wanted the new page. So I went to:
AND ILL BE A SON OF A GUN, but there it is! The old version! WOO HOO!!!!
So for any of those who desire the old sold look, yes, you have to sign in to ebay.uk, but for the time being, for me its what I want.
Now I have to take a nap!

Myself and many others totally agree with you, but none of us are holding our breath.
While this doesn't fix anything, I still keep the following link on a Hot-Key to go directly to the original All Selling page.

I do appreciate the reply, and I am aware of that area. What bothers me, is I know that the classic view, or whatever you want to call it, exists, as my friend who sells on ebay still has that view. Its some programmer somewhere that refuses to flip the switch on my account and others who are as unimpressed with his/her efforts.

They have "flipped the switch".
They continue to flip the switch on more of us.
The switch just isn't going in the direction that some of us like.
They keep developing new pages that are a waste of space, and user time. Some say it is geared toward the mobile devices, and those using them.
I constantly have to go back to my "classic view", so that I can see the things I want to see without constantly opening new pages to see that which is all on one page in classic.
Like it or not we will all probably be switched over, and not be able to go back as they do not want to maintain the old stuff for us old people.

So very true. And yes, I am just ranting, but if there was a benefit, I would embrace it. But there is none. Just someone trying (and failing) to justify his/her salary. But again, you are absolutely correct!

I, too, have spent over an hour on the phone the morning with eBay non-customer support. Some of the worst customer support in the world, I would say. Used to, years ago, when I would get someone state side, things would usually go smooth. Now, no. And, I'll wait 20-30 minutes to speak to a supervisor who simply regurgitates what I've already been told. And, once again today, a super was to call me back. I received several automated calls. Each said to press one to receive assistance. I pressed one and two and the recording never stopped. Over and over until it said my time was up and disconnected. And, currently, I do not have a summary of my account, only when I initially open it in a browser. If I click anything when I did there, the summary disappears and is not to be found (when I click it it goes to my watch list - - I am clicking summary, not my ebay, etc.). Ebay non-support could not, absolutely could not put me in touch with anyone in the technical department and, told me they didn't have one. . .

Sorry to hear about your customer service phone support woes. I have heard others have had problems with those call back menus not recognizing key presses. Some phones put out short tones for key presses, and some voice mail systems can't recognize them; it might be possible to adjust the length of the tones if you are using a cell phone. Or it might just be a problem with the voice mail system itself.
Regarding your Summary page, it sounds like you can navigate to the Summary page initially, but then it's not clear to me what you are experiencing. Links on the Summary page are not working? Once you navigate away, you can't get back?
Is this the Summary page you are using?
https://www.ebay.com/myb/Summary
Here are a couple of alternative Summary links:
Most of the information on the Summary page can be found on a combination of other pages: Watch List, Purchase History or one of the selling pages, so if you get stuck you could try those instead.
eBay has made some changes recently, particularly on the selling side of things -- it might be helpful to sign out, delete your cache or cookies, restart your browser and sign in again, or try another browser altogether to see if that improves anything.

The new view was forced on me today too. I hate it. Hope this isn't permanent

Thanks for the help and reply. I, once again, confused myself. I had the "Seller Hub Overview" set as my home page. Now, it goes to the supposed summary, which is simply my watch list. I am baffled by it all. After some clicks and navigation (no straight link) I can get to the Seller Hub but have no option to set it as my home page. BTW, I did clear my cache, etc. No change. Thanks again,

On most eBay pages there is either a text link that says "make this my eBay homepage" or else a ribbon icon next your feedback number that does the same thing. I think the Seller hub is different, though. I do not use Seller hub, so I am not familiar with it.
I did find some instructions for making Seller hub your home page, but they are from years ago and involve opting out, and I am not sure if they are still applicable.
You might be able to find some answers if you ask here:

This was my bookmark before I got switched and it was short sweet and to the point. I could see what I sold, and click on the “ready to ship”
https://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayBeta&CurrentPage=MyeBayNextSold&ssPageName=STRK:ME:LNLK:M...
Now when I go to my ebay sold, this is what I get. It has information I don’t want or need. Too many bubbles, bells and whistles that I DON’T need.

I tried the links you provided, but They bring me to a blank page.
I have signed out, cleared cookies, ate some too, tried it on chrome, firefox, and edge. Nothing will let me go back.
And like I said, I can sign in under my buddies account, on my desktop, clearing nothing, no matter what browser, and he still has the old view.
